Fun Facts-
Blackwell's inspiration
was when a close friend was
dying the close friend said
that she would have a
female physician for
anything.

The Infirmary that she
opened in 1857 had all
female staff.

Elizabeth is a hero because she
worked as a nurse. She helped
people who were hurt or dying. She
opened a places for the poor. She
was amazing.

She was a great woman. I picked her
because she did something amazing
for others. My mom was a nurse
once. If it weren't for Elizabeth
Blackwell my mom wouldn't have
been a nurse. I am great full for her .
What an amazing woman.
