4. WHAT IS A WORD ?   A  word is a letter or group of letters that has  meaning. Example: CAT BUS HUT And now you learn long words. So, we can say that a word is a group of letters.

5. WHAT IS A SENTENCE? A  sentence  is a group of words that are put together to mean something . C at is on the wall a sitting. A cat is sitting on the wall. 

6. WRITING SKILLS PARAGRAPH WRITING What is a paragraph? A   paragraph   is a group of words put together to form a group that is usually longer than a sentence. Paragraphs are often made up of several   sentences . There are usually between three and eight sentences . ( Notebook work)

7. TOPIC SENTENCE : It is the first sentence and introduces the topic of the paragraph . SUPPORTING SENTENCES: The supporting sentences “support” the topic sentence. That is, they explain and elaborate the point of the paragraph CLOSING SENTEMCE: It is the last sentence in the paragraph. It should succinctly end the paragraph.

8. A Picture Is Worth a Thousand Words HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY. The proverb Honesty is the best policy means that we have to be honest and true in life even in bad situations. This proverb is said by the famous person Benjamin Franklin. He regarded honesty as the best tool for a successful life. Honesty is the backbone of the successful relationships. Those who tell lies to their near and dear ones face bad situations in life. One must be loyal and speak truth at every walk of life and in all dealings. Honesty, loyalty and truthfulness provide the peace of mind. It is observed that an honest and truthful person always leads happy life. Honesty is the builder of stronger and durable relationship. Whereas, on the other hand the dishonest people lose their respect in family as well as in the society. One who lies ruins the relationships and loses the trust of the people. Honesty is a weapon which always helps us conquer in every walk of life. Honesty always benefits us. People who always prefer telling truth can build reliable relationships and can build a better world to live peacefully. Speaking truth helps us in strengthening our character and makes us strong.
