About This Presentation

An E.O.T. crane stands for Electric Overhead Traveling crane. this is used for handling & moving a maximum specified weight of the components called capacity of the crane within a specified area. In this slide you can learn how to use eot cranes.

Eot Cranes Types And Their Usages

INTRODUCTION

A Crane is a type of machine, generally equipped with a hoist, wire ropes
or chains, and sheaves, that can be used both to lift and lower materials
and to move them horizontally. It uses one or more simple to create
mechanical advantage and thus move loads beyond the normal
capability of a human.

An overhead crane, commonly called a bridge crane, is a type of crane
found in industrial environments. An overhead crane consists of parallel
runways with a traveling bridge spanning the gap.

Types of Eot Cranes

SINGLE GIRDER EOT CRANES

Capacity: Up to 20 Ton
Span: Up to 40 m
Speeds:
Hoisting : Up to 10m/min
Cross Travel :Up to 35m/min
Long Travel :Up to 65m/min
Micro Speed :10% of all motions
Custom Speeds are also avilable for all motions.

DOUBLE GIRDER EOT CRANES

Capacity: Up to 200 Ton
Span: Up to 65 m
Speeds:
Hoisting : Up to 15m/min
Cross Travel :Up to 35m/min
Long Travel :Up to 65m/min
Micro Speed :10% of all motions
Custom Speeds are also avilable for all motions.

Diffrence Between Single and Double Girder Cranes

The real difference between single and double girder cranes is
hook height (how far above the floor your hoist will lift). Double
girder cranes provide better hook height, typically 18-36 inches
better.
Double girder cranes can provider more lift, because on double
girder cranes the hoist is placed between the cross girders, not
under the cross girder. You gain the depth of the cross girder.

CAUSES OF CRANE FAILURE

The Main Cause of crane failure are listed as:

Electrocution
Crushed During Assembly / Disassembly
Failure of Boom / Cable
Crane Tip Over
Struck By Cab / Counterweight
Falls
