Personality Analysis Examples
After taking the personality test survey and reading the analysis of my personality type, I have
gotten a better understanding of my individuality by discovering my strengths, weaknesses, and
how my personality can be of great influence on who and what and how I interact with others.
My personality type based on the personality test survey resulted in me being an ISFP, also
known as the Artist. ISFPs like myself, are considered to be introverted, sensing, feeling, and
perceiving. We are quiet, reserved, and can be difficult get to know wholly. Yet, we are also go
getters and risk takers. We live to find ways to push our passions as mentioned in the introduction
reading the analysis. Some personality features that define me exactly are quiet,... Show more

I am considered to be charming because I am warm hearted and my attitude effortlessly makes
me likable by others. I try to be as friendly and original as people when it comes to meeting new
people. First impressions are huge! Being sensitive to others is considered another one of my
top strengths because I am genuinely willing to reach out to others and help them get to a
comfortable state of mind when an issue occurs. I like to lend a helping when and where it s
needed as well as giving advice. Last but not least, I am considered to be imaginative because I
don t allow for myself to get easily influenced by others. I feel that I have a mind of own just like
everyone else and I am free to express myself. Furthermore, I like to think of myself as a person
who s making an effort to empathize with those who go through hardships by trying to place myself
in their shoes. I m always trying to get a better understanding of challenging

The Significance Of Kristallnacht And The Holocaust
30000 Jews were sent to concentration camps during Kristallnacht. The Nazi s came to power in
1932 as they were elected 608 seats in the German parliament. After this event, the Nazi s used
fear and propaganda to slowly hypnotize and imbed their beliefs into the minds of every
German citizen. However in November of 1938, the Nazi s showed everyone what they really
believed in. during the night of broken glass or Kristallnacht. The Nazi s ransacked and
destroyed many Jewish businesses while they also killed and captured many Jewish citizens .
The purpose of Kristallnacht was to strike fear into Jewish communities, which in turn also
sparked the beginning of the Nazi war machine that would sweep through Europe over the
course of the upcoming years. To assess the significance of Kristallnacht I will look at the
consequences, what caused it to happen. The hatred towards Jews was nothing new in that time.
Throughout history Jews have been prosecuted and blamed for many of the world s problems,
and Germany was the same. The treaty of Versailles was incredibly harsh on Germany as it
extinguished the nations power and reduced its presets on an international scale. The Germany
people especially hated the treaty of Versailles and they needed someone to blame, so lo and
behold the hatred of Jews began in Germany. The TOV was signed and approved by Jewish
politicians so many German peopled blamed Jews for the TOV. During the 1930s, many Jews

An Analysis Of Lancelot s Abandonment Of The Epic
Emily Jessen 010533719
Professor Watt
History 101
June 11 2015
Abandonment of the Epic The compilation of Chretien de Troyes Arthurian Romances effectively
portrays various themes previously unexplored in the epic genre that eventually led to the creation
of Lancelot in The Knight of the Cart and later Perceval in his unfinished work, The Story of the
Grail . Lancelot becomes the good example of romantic mythology through his internal struggles
while still remaining loyal to his liege. The early epics contain many common themes and morals
despite having been found throughout different civilizations such as the Old English Beowulf, the
Greek works of The Odyssey and The Iliad by Homer, and the ancient Mesopotamian Epic of
Gilgamesh. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lancelot has defining human characteristics that separate him from the deified accounts of epic
poem protagonists, and this shift to vulnerability created a new writing style that reflected the
times as Europe was slowly becoming less centralized. Since the innocent days of Perceval s
youth, he had wanted to become a knight after recklessly chasing after a few with a javelin, and
this tale of maturity is similar to the works of Dickens and other tales of growing up . The tragic
Greek hero or man of myth portrayed in the epic tales that became immediate folklore for nations
across the globe was no more. Every country had its great epic hero, but the rise of romantic
writings led to each country being able to rediscover itself through a different set of eyes.
Perceval and Lancelot could never have been epic heroes, and the actions of Perceval and
Lancelot could never be portrayed in an epic poem without seeming humorous. Oedipus would
never ride in the back of a pillory cart to reach his destination, and Lancelot would never find
himself in a situation where he has to kill his own father and wed his mother. It is evident that the
early romantic works take heavy influence from epic poetry as the characters may seem to be
chivalrous and intimidating at first, but unlike the protagonists of

Brand Identity And Marketing Messages
Brand Identity and Marketing Messages
Before launching a product or marketing a message, many ideas for brand identity, such as artistic
logos and clever jingles to draw in the consumer and become memorable, stay on the presentation
board in the marketing executive s office. For the wildly successful product marketing that basks in
a near cult following, such as Coke, Apple, or McDonalds, there are the utter failures such as the
Gremlin, the Susan B. Anthony dollar, and numerous spin offs of successful television shows.
Therefore, when OfficeMax Inc. launched Elf Yourself , an interactive holiday e card on its
website in 2006, its success took everyone by surprise. Thacker, an OfficeMax marketing and
advertising executive admitted, When you think of holiday shopping, you don t think office
supplies (Colorado State University Global Campus, 2014).The following discussion focuses on the
objectives, timely launch, and how OfficeMax reached their intended target with the surprise hit of
the 2006 holiday season. This popular marketing campaign is a perfect example of everything
going right at precisely the perfect time.
Campaign Objectives and Timeline for Completion
Behind any retail campaign, no matter the product niche, is to bring consumer interest to the
product or service, thus increasing sales. In the Elf Yourself campaign, OfficeMax used a unique
form of marketing by inserting their brand into an Elf e card that had no direct association with its
products. OfficeMax

La AntigГ јedad Del Mundo Poem Analysis
Here, the poet implies the concept of the life absurdity through using special grammar structures in
order to show trivia and the insignificance of living. As a result of the conditions of the world and
the fear and hatred toward death shown in these quatrains, the poet reaches to the result that all
things have the same value which leads to the idea of the meaninglessness of everything including
the world.

While Khayyam has a negative and pessimistic viewpoint to the life in some of his ruba is, on the
whole, he comes to terms with life as it is rather than exhausting himself in the futile quest for the
meaning of life and the world. It should be considered that Khayyam was not an illiterate person.
He was a great mathematician and an astronomer who knew a lot about the space and the
position of human beings in the world. In this sense, he as a scholar felt nothingness in the huge
area of the existence and being. Consequently, Khayyam as an active nihilist prefers living even
in a purposeless world rather than committing suicide. He prescribes a general prescription for
his fellowmen. One which motivates them to live but not to think deeply about the existence
since it will deteriorate a common person s life because he will be unable to understand and
justifies his presence on the Earth which can lead to chronic feelings of emptiness and in its
extremist form to committing suicide. For Khayyam, life is enjoyment and carpe diem, which
means seizing the day , because you don t know whether you will be alive tomorrow or not. His
idea is that now that we are here and we don t know anything about our future and we can t change

Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)
SARS, also known as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome, caused a major epidemic in 2002
2003. The virus had originated in the middle east area from a mammal group handled and bred
in the first effect area. The virus had developed and was transmitted to the people handling the
animals. The handlers would contract the virus and then would spread it to others around them.
The disease was able to be transferred or passed on to others by means of close contact and or the
air. The virus itself was not noticeable unless tested or until it had further developed. Anyone who
had contracted the disease only showed flu like symptoms when first diagnosed with the virus.
However, these would soon worsen and even take the lives of people. Though it only affected...

Though it had traveled to a multitude of areas, only about six of the thirty or so locations saw
severe cases of SARS at their medical centers. The disease itself did not contaminate only the
middle east, but had traveled to places such was North America, South America ,and Europe Out
of the affected areas, about twenty percent of the people who contracted the virus were healthcare
workers, such as doctors, nurses, family doctors and specialist. The spreading of the virus seemed
to follow its own pattern. The first stage would start with infected people coming to the hospital
with more severe cases. These hospitalized cases would than in turn enter the second stage of
transmission. The health care workers themselves would than get affected due to have close
contact with the patients and breathing contaminated air. Seeing as the virus was transmitted via
close contact and the air. Being around the ill patients allowed the virus to enter the workers
bodies. Seeing as health workers worked not only with just those patients any other patients who
interacted with that health care taker could also contract the virus. This was the third stage of the
outbreak. Not only did the patients already have to deal with their own problems, nurses and staff
could also infect them with this horrible disease that know one had known the effects of or if it was

Compare And Contrast The Behavioural Approach In Psychology
Behaviour approach in psychology
Psychology is the scientific study of human and animal behaviour. There are many approaches to
psychology, which give an insight and they all support one way or another their theories. They
explain the human behaviour based on different circumstances which is not sufficient for someone
to explain all aspects of human behaviour. In this essay I shall discuss what behavioural approach
is, what it s strengths and weaknesses are, than compare it to the biological approach to look at how
they examine depression. The behaviourists believe that behaviour changes is due to the persons
respond to an event in the environment they are in. In contrast psychoanalysts like Sigmund Freud
believe that the human behaviour is totally based on the internal conflict of the unconscious mind.
Behaviourism started as a type of research psychology and for a long time that was how it was seen.
For the best part of the begging of the early 20th century, the behaviourists were just scientists that
were working in high education institutes on psychological research problems. To the behaviourist,
human behaviour has not got anything to do with the inner unconscious conflicts, restraining, or
issues with object representation. To be a little more exact, a behavioural psychologist uses the
concept of learning theory to explain human behaviour. According to behavioural theory, unhelpful
or dysfunctional behaviour such as depression is it learned. Because depression is

Fish Cheeks by Amy Tan tells us about how a young girl discovers that it is okay for your family
to be different and that she should appreciate her family s culture. She learns this after one very
long and embarrassing Christmas Eve supper with the preacher s family. In this story Tan uses
several different times rhetoric devices. She uses imagery, ethos, and pathos. Imagery is used to
give the reader a better description of the story. Ethos and pathos are used when the child and
mother have an disagreement about their emotions and feelings. Her word choice ,diction, in the
story also has an impact on the story. Imagery is the how the describe the story to you to help you

Albert Bandura Theory
As the pioneering social learning theorist in the 1960s, Albert Bandura refuted the common belief
that studying thoughts and emotions was unscientific. He was adamant that although one could not
see these internal processes, they were still important to study. He has proven that to understand
children, we must first understand their cognitive processes and the ways in which they think and
reason. In my opinion, one of Bandura s most underrated theories is his study of the effects that
exposure to violencehas on children. I believe that it has shaped the way many of us think about
what children are witnessing, and is vital in this time where most children have constant access to
technology.
Bandura extensively studied modeling; he believed that children learn by watching. This applies
to a variety of circumstances. For example, children learn how to behave in a social setting by
watching the interactions of their peers. Children also learn through symbolic models, like stories
and television. He also proposed the idea of no model learning; a child can watch someone else do
something and replicate it perfectly on their first try, without ever having been formally taught. In
what seems to me like a natural progression of thought, Bandura next wondered that if children
absorb what they are seeing effortlessly, how are they be affected by seeing negative things, such
as violence or rough behavior?
In Theories of Development, William Crain (2005) describes a study Bandura conducted in
1965. Four year olds were individually shown a movie with one of three endings. In all three,
the model beat up a Bobo doll. In the first, the model was praised and rewarded for doing this. In
the second, the model was reprimanded and punished for his actions. And in the third, the model
was neither rewarded nor punished. The children were put in a room with a Bobo doll. Those
who had seen the first and third versions of the movie imitated the model many more instances
that those who had seen the second version. This indicates that while seeing a model punished
will make an activity less desirable, and seeing a model rewarded will made it more desirable,
seeing the model neither punished nor rewarded will make the activity just as

Abstract The heart of the democracy is solely depending on the voting. The voting is the right for
every citizen in the nation. The fingerprint shows the most promising future in real world

That is why majority of secure systems are using fingerprint method alone or in combination with
other biometric feature to make systems more secure in this rapidly advancing technology era.
That is why in this Mobile Voting systems are identification of voter is based on fingerprints. A
database is created containing the fingerprint of all the voters in the constituency. Illegal votes and
repetition of votes is checked for in this system. Hence if this system is employed the elections
would be fair and free from rigging. Fingerprints are one of many forms of biometrics used to
identify an individual and verify their identity. Extensive research has been done on fingerprints in
humans. Two of the fundamentally important conclusions that have risen from research are: (i) a
person s fingerprint will not naturally change structure after about one year after birth and (ii) the
fingerprints of individuals are unique. Even the fingerprints in twins are not the same. In practice
two humans with the same fingerprint have never been found. In this study, for the fingerprint
authentication the minutiae or texture based matching is considered for higher recognition
accuracy. This paper is organized as follows: The section II describes the issues of the present
voting system, section III discusses the proposed mobile voting system, Section IV describes the
gabor filter based fingerprint matching, Section V describes the conclusion.

Religious, Social, Philosophical, And Political Upheaval
Religious, social, philosophical, and political upheaval spread throughout both Europe and the
Americas during over the course of the eighteenth century. In prominent Western nations such as
England, France, and Spain, religious tensions persisted from power struggles between Catholicism

organized religion at a state level, Enlightenment ideas emphasizing human reason brought about a
new epistemological ideology, called deism(Duiker, 463). While this previously unfamiliar
philosophy failed to replace the dominant Protestant or Catholic religions of established nations,
revolutionist movements toward the end of the 1700s fully embraced deism. In... Show more

Despite the influence of Enlightenment throughout the Western world during the French and Indian
War, France and England s government level worldviews remained decidedly theistic. Because of
this, the Treaty of Paris, which detailed the terms of truce at the end of the war in 1763, remains
untouched by deistic, humanistic influences. With centuries long traditions entrenched in either
Protestant or Catholic theologies, leaders of both nations either possessed no desire to break the
status quo or found attempting a separation of church and state impossible. In the centuries leading
up to the French and Indian War, which is the official name for the North American front of the
Severn Years War, both France and England experienced significant religious turmoil. France, led
by King Louis XV at the treaty s signing, maintained a heavily Catholic tradition since King Henry
IV signed the Edict of Nantes in 1598. As for England under King George III, the official Church of
England followed protestant theology (Duiker, 390 391). These deeply ingrained traditional
ideologies prevented deism and other enlightenment theologies from dominating the thoughts and
language expressed in the Treaty of Paris. Holding to their traditional theological leanings, authors

The Disney Princess In Disney
Disney princesses have always been seen in the public eye as dependent on their prince
charming. When thinking about the very first princesses Disney put on the screen, such as
Snow white, Cinderella, sleeping beauty and so on, they have never been thought of as very
strong or independent women. In most of the early Disney princess movies, the underlying
theme is that the princess is always in search of or waiting to be rescued by the male character.
With, this is one of the most prominent reasons why Orenstein did not want her daughter
listening to the snow white tale. She did not want to expose her daughter to thinking that the
traits or characteristics that the princesses display were how women should act or be
represented. Orenstein had several reservations when it came to her daughter learning about
snow white and the other Disney princess. In the text, it talked about when her daughter was on
the floor laying down waiting for her prince to come and give her the kiss that would save her.
This was one of the reasons Orenstein didn t choose to tell her about show white, she thought
that her daughter did not need to wait on any male figure to come save her and that she could be
her own savor. Snow white, as many of the other princesses, depended on their prince to come
save them. For example, when she ate the apple, she was to wait for the prince to wake her up
from her dream instead of depending herself. Another reason why she did not want to expose her
daughter to

Perfume Vs Chronicles Of A Death Foretold
When writing novels, most authors have a specific technique they prefer to use. Whether it be their
choice of words, the sentence structure, or even the order in which the story is told. Typically,
novels are read in chronological order, meaning that events take place in an order of sequence. As
said before, most authors have a preferred technique used in their writing. In this case, Gabriel
Garcia Marquez, author of Chronicles of a Death Foretold, uses a non chronological manner in his
work. Meanwhile author of Perfume, Patrick Suskind tells his story in a chronological order. Both
of these techniques affect the reader in two similar, but different ways.Starting off, the fictional

Characteristics Of Coco Chanel
Northouse (2013, p.186) defined transformational leadership as a process whereby a person
engages with others and creates a connection that raises the level of motivation and morality in both
the leader and the follower. It is a process which often incorporates charismatic and visionary
leadership.
Bass (1985) states that the characteristics of transformational leaders in Bass model are idealized
influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual simulation and individual consideration. Through
this four factors we can see how Coco Chanel is a transformational leader.

driving force around the film. To start this film can be classified as a neo noir con man film. It

Margaret meets Joey over an unpaid debt of 25000 dollars one of clients owes. First is show

The studio that did the redubbing of a lot Margaret s lines failed spectacularly. Even just in the
beginning of the film the audio is not synced correctly there are a few milliseconds of difference
in how Margaret lips move and what she says. This wouldn t be that big of an issue if David
only had her re dub a few lines here and there. But it seemed like about a 1/3 of the film had been
redubbed. Which was extremely jarring switching from this dubbed audio to the original, and
speaking of that why wasn t the dubbed audio properly mixed with the unrubbed audio. David
could have made it about ten times less jarring if they had mixed the audio correctly. The second
major flaw of the film would be Margaret s acting. I know that David was probably trying to
make her seem like she was cold and disconnected from the world. But in reality the acting is so
wooden and stiff nothing gets through. The bad thing is there are far better example of characters
being disconnected and cold to the world. But that doesn t mean that the actors have to be robots
reading lines monotonely off of the script.

film that will make audiences think. It will make them wonder who is who coning who? While

Alternative Sources Of Alternative Energy Sources
Alternative Energy Sources Air pollution, resulting from the burning of fossil fuels, amounts for
about 7 million deaths each year. On average, 1 in 8 deaths are caused by some type of air
pollution. Fossil fuels are burned every day to keep the world functioning but are accompanied by
tremendous amounts of pollution. The world needs energy sources that are as effective as fossil
fuels but that come with less harmful pollutants than fossil fuels do. An effort must be made to
pull away from harmful fossil fuels and to switch over to cleaner energy sources such as solar
power, wind power, and geothermal power. Switching over to cleaner energy is very important
because of the eminent threat of global warming that lurks just around the corner. If humans are not
careful, they will damage the environment and the atmosphere to a point beyond repair. Major
factories and cities can begin to convert to cleaner energy sources and cut back on pollution
tremendously. They can do this by harnessing energy from the sun, utilizing frequent gusts of wind,
and by tapping into the heat of the Earth s core.
Fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas account for roughly 85 percent of total energy that is
used in the United States. All three of these fossil fuels release harmful gases such as carbon
dioxide and monoxide, sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides, and hydrocarbons into our atmosphere. The
Union of Concerned Scientists explain how these gases are trapped in the Earth s

Managing Classroom Behavior and Learning in the Primary...
The poor behaviour of some children affects not only their learning but also the learning of
others. (Adams 2009, page 4) This suggests that poorly managed behaviour in the classroom can
have a detrimental effect on learning overall, as well as individually. This assignment will
analyse how behaviour and learning are inextricably linked. This assignment will also emphasise
how primary classroom teachers develop behaviour management strategies in order to promote an
effective and positive learning environment. Ofsted (2005, page 15) discusses how if children can
enjoy learning it is more likely that their behaviour will be positive; likewise if their behaviour is
good then the children are most likely to learn. The Every Child Matters:... Show more content on

Hayes (2012) reiterates that if the children are challenged through high expectations they will enjoy
learning more and behaviour would improve. Chaplain (2010) discusses how a multilevel nature of
behaviour management, which extends from each child as a unique individual to the whole school
ethos, can create effective learning. This coincides with clear expectations for behaviour in order to
allow learning to happen.
A good school behaviour policy, agreed and communicated to all staff, governors, pupils, parents
and carers, consistently applied, is the basis of an effective approach to managing behaviour.
(HCEC, 2011, page 24)
Schools are required to produce behaviour management policies, (DfES, 2007) to promote positive
behaviour that extends from the individual to the whole school community. This not only reflects
the rules within the classroom, but also creates an ethos within the wider school, thus setting high
standards for behaviour. If the core rules are explicit and the children are encouraged to make a
positive contribution, (DfES, 2003) such as develop their own classroom charter, and then learning
can be effectively facilitated with a consistent framework for behaviour. (Ellis and Tod 2009)
Furthermore, Chaplain (2010) emphasises that if the teacher refers to the classroom rules
frequently, and the procedures for behaviour are applied consistently then it can significantly reduce
or even eliminate minor

UNIT 1 INDIVIDUAL PROJECT MGT 485 0903B 03 GLOBAL STRATEGIC
MANAGEMENT ALFRED SIU AUGUST 30, 2009 BY: TINA RAULERSON The most
concerning threat USPS faces is the rise in operating expenses, particularly the increase in
energy prices and health insurance premiums. Energy prices are at all time highs. With USPS
dependency in both, air and ground transportation, energy prices will play a major role in the
company s budget. USPS is part of the Federal Employee Health Benefit program and premiums
for these benefits have steadily increased over the last couple of years. For example, premiums
increased in 2003 by 11.1%. Health benefit payments increased 14% in 2003 from 2002, and by
15.8% in 2004 from 2003 levels.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Long Term Action Plan USPS should gradually replace their aging delivery vehicles with hybrid
or electric vehicles to reduce delivery costs and dependency on gas. A hybrid vehicle not only saves
the Postal Service 32 40% on fuel costs (roughly $1200/car/year based on 30k miles), depending
on the vehicle, but USPS would also receive a $3,000 tax incentive on every vehicle. In cities,
electric vehicles or SMART cars could be used since delivery routes are shorter with frequent
stops. Aside from being fuel efficient, they adhere to the ever stricter emissions rules. With well
over 200,000 postal vehicles currently in the system, savings would approach the $1billion mark.
Since USPS has monopoly in Standard Mail, prices in this sector should be raised while prices in
the package delivery sector should be lowered, albeit marginally, in order to attract higher
market share. A raise in first class postage of a little over 8% to $.40 is presently being reviewed.
Higher revenues would result from the newly raised prices in the monopolized Standard Mail
market, while higher volume sales from the package delivery segment would boost revenues.
USPS should first appeal to the US government to leave the Federal Employee Health Benefit
program. Then, USPS should research other health plans that are more cost efficient, whether it be
a new carrier in the private sector, a change in benefits coverage or alter the level of an employees
contribution to

My Papa s Waltz by Theodore Roethke Essay

culture in 1948 when this poem was published. To add on to this view that he is a hard worker
with knuckles that are battered and a palm caked hard by dirt, the man is a grafter who works long

want to dance in a waltz. Due to him and his father s height difference, the son s ear scraped on
the father s belt buckle. The longer they dance the happier he get. This causes him to become
more and more clumsier due to his drunken state, and it starts to become too much for the son the

his son s head is part of joy at the music he hears in his head. The mother remains an outsider to
what is actually happening in front of her and is naturally unhappy due to the random disturbance
the father makes. After the dance is over the son goes to bed and clings to his father s shirt in love

Review Of Shiloh By Toni Morrison
The protagonists are the most important characters of the stories. They play an essential part in
building the story to its climax. The protagonists encounter with different characters and their
experiences with those characters became paramount in developing the outcome of the story at the
end. Sometimes we overlook the significance of non protagonists. Many non protagonist characters
have a significant impact on the protagonists. In Shiloh written by Bobbie Ann Mason, Norma Jean

Leroy is failing to keep Norma Jean satisfied with their marriage and eventually faces a cruel

read for those who are passionate towards the field of biotechnology. It offers a complete insight
on the exciting world of biotechnology, right from its initial stages in the 1970 s and 1980 s. For
many centuries now, biotechnologyhas been in practice such as to bake bread, brew alcoholic
beverages, and breed food crops or domestic animals. But recent developments in molecular biology
and genetics, have given biotechnology new meaning, new prominence and new potential. It has
captured the attention of the public. Modern biotechnology can have a dramatic effect on the world

In the first section, the author starts by explaining the rise of three major biotechnology companies,
Genentech, Amgen and Genzyme and their competition with the big pharmaceutical companies.
These companies had and have the best working researchers when compared to the pharmaceutical
companies. As a former employee of Genentech, the author also gives accounts of inside stories. For
example, the interactions of employees with Bob Swanson (founder of Genentech). She then moves
on to the research aspects of biotechnology and gives an account of the various genetic engineering
tools and techniques used such as Biochips and Microarrays .Other topics covered include tissue

The Effects Of Stress On Our Mental And Physical Health
As we learned in class, stress is any force that changes the body s natural state, known as
homeostasis. Stress does not always have to be viewed as a bad thing. For example, stress can
motivate someone to study for an exam or plan ahead in his or her agenda to stay organized. Its
only when stress manifest out of control and is not addressed properly that it can have very
negative effects on both our mental and physical health. Reflecting on the document we watched in
class, Stress: Portrait of a Killer, I was surprised to learn more about baboons correlating to human
beings stress management and how you position as individual in the hierarchy of life has in
effect on the levels of stress you may endure. In the documentary I learned a lot about how
dominant male baboons has lower stress levels which in turn, made these baboon relativity
healthier compared to their other members of their group. The baboons who had higher stress
levels also has high blood pressure, not as good immune system, and a poor reproductive system.
This just goes to show the position the baboons held in their hierarchy related to their health and
ultimately, their life span. This idea that stress is related to poor health and life expectancy is not
only true for baboons, but for human beings as well. I know from prior experiences when i get
stress I tend to get really sick. When the end of the semester comes around, I get overwhelmed with
papers, last minute assignments, and finals to study. I was

Understanding The Way That Real Life Organized Crime...
There are at least two competing definitions: one that focuses on particular groups of people, and
one that focuses on particular types of crime. Both definitions have some validity, and neither is
sufficient to completely describe the global reality. Understanding the way that real life organized
crime situations fit these two definitions makes a big difference in the ways we might go about
solving these problems. When most people say organized crime, it is often a shorthand way of
referring to groups of people, usually the mafia and similar groups. Understood in this way,
organized criminal activity is simply whatever these organized crimegroups do. The people are
consistent across time, although what they do may change: today maybe extortion, tomorrow
maybe heroin trafficking, or check kiting, or procurement fraud, or all of the above. The emphasis
is on the group, not the nature of the crime. This is an important distinction, because it implies a
number of assumptions about the way that organized crime works. Law enforcement agencies use
this definition almost as a matter of course, because the criminal justice system is designed to deal
with specific offences committed by specific people. Policearrest suspects and seize their property,
prosecutors secure convictions one by one, and only individual people can be sent to prison. When
actors in such a system plan proactively, they are limited by the tools at hand, and this affects the
way they conceptualize the

The Pros And Cons Of Social Stereotypes
Stereotype threat is a social phenomenon where a member of a negatively stereotyped group
performs poorly when reminded of that stereotype (Beilock, Jellison, Rydell, McConnell, Carr,
2006). For example, previous studies have shown that when primed with a negative stereotype
African Americans perform worse on intellectual tasks (Steele, Aronson, 1995), and women
perform worse at math (Spencer, Steele, Quinn, 1999). The main component of stereotypethreat is
that it impairs working memory(Schmader, Forbes, Johns, 2008). Working memory is a short term
memory system that is involved in the control, regulation, and active maintenance of a limited
amount of information with immediate relevance to the task at hand (Miyake Shah, 1999). So
essentially as one works on a task, working memory keeps all the important information ready for
quick access, which is crucial for performance in almost every domain. Previous studies have
shown that working memory capacity is a direct mediator between stereotype threat and impaired
mental performance (Schmader, Johns, 2003). At a cognitive level, working memory is a limited
capacity resource that can become depleted if it is attending to multiple domains. If depleted there
is less capacity available to control a task s execution and information processing demands
(Schmader, Johns, 2003). Many different studies have contested how it is that stereotype threat
impairs performance. For example, in Steele and Aronson s

Physics of Aristotle Essay
The great Greek thinker Aristotle was born in 384 B.C. in Stagirus, a city in ancient Macedonia in
northern Greece. At the age of eighteen Aristotle went to Athens to begin his studies at Plato s

In The Physics Aristotle deduces that there must be two main principles of change. These
principles are 1) matter and 2) form. Matter stays the same in general composition throughout
change much as a rock would stay the same even after being broken into several small pieces.
Form, however, is what changes through various processes.
In order to prevent an infinite regression of argument, Aristotle came up with the his famous idea of
the Prime Mover, which exists outside the earth somewhere in the heavens and is ultimately
responsible for all change on earth.
Aristotle s physics separated the universe into two main areas: the terrestrial realm and the celestial
realm. The terrestrial realm was composed of the four elements: earth, wind, water and fire, which
could each be either hot, wet, dry or cold, and the celestial realm made of ether, or what Aristotle
called the quintessence.
The basic assumption of Aristotelian physics was that the natural state of terrestrial matter is at
rest, and that earth air and water would continually strive to reach their natural place at the center
of the earth unless impeded by an impenetrable surface like the ground or a ceiling. He assumed
that the natural resting place of fire was somewhere above the earth but below the moon. this model
held that the complicated nature of the circulation of the air was a result of the conflict between
fire, which was trying to

Deceit is often embodied in particular characters in various works of literature. A character can
have selfish motives for lying or they can lie out of compassion. In A Streetcar Named Desire,
Stella and Blanche both lie to protect themselves and allow them to have a happy life. In
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Oskar and his grandfather Thomas Schell lieto protect the
ones they care about. Both works show dishonest characters developing in different situations that
shown no intent for spite but rather concern for themselves or a loved one. In A Streetcar Named
Desire, Blanche first comes across to the audience as a wealthy high maintenance aristocrat whom
has class. As the story grows deeper the truthabout Blanche s past is revealed.... Show more content

One is letters from Oskar s grandmother to Oskar telling him about her life and the other is a
series of letters written by Oskar s absent grandfather, Thomas Schell, to his son, Oskar s father.
Thomas explains to his unborn son why he is not going to be there for him growing up. Thomas
has lost his first and true love Anna who was the older sister of his later wife and he lost all of
his ability to speak. He even talks about his marriage despite him never truly loving his wife.
Thomas did greatly care for his wife and often protected her. Thomas gives his wife a typewriter
so she can write her life story. When she is finally all caught up with her current life she shows
the pages to Thomas who is excited to see what she has written, but instead of seeing words he
saw nothing. He remembers that a few years ago he broke the typewriter and she couldn t see
that all the pages were blank. Thomas could have told her the truth and helped her start over but
he didn t want to see her hurt so instead he said Wonderful. I told her by rubbing her shoulders in
a certain way that we have between us, it s wonderful. (124). Then he offered to help make the
story even better so her story may actually be seen

Tax Reformation Common Ground
The tax policy in the United States is very confusing. When the tax policy was originally written
in 1913 it was four hundred pages. Now, over the past ninety one years, that tax policy has
evolved to over 72,000 pages. Since the tax code has become so lengthy and nearly impossible to
understand, the topic of taxreform has been in the minds of many. Although, most barely think
about tax reform until tax season. It is a controversial subject due to the impact a change in tax
code would have on the American people. The two most popular and widely known stakeholders in
this debate are the two major political parties in the United States, the Democrats and the
Republicans. The two parties share absolutely no common ground on the subject of... Show more

For example, if the tax rate is seven percent and one person makes one thousand dollars they would
pay seventy dollars to the government. While someone that only made one hundred dollars would
pay seven dollars to the government; this they may deem unfair.
The common ground the two parties would meet on would be a flat tax. So, any household that
is classified as on or below the poverty line will not be taxed whatsoever. Then the tax amount
for everyone else would be chosen based off of the governments projected spending amount for
that year, and incorporating the idea of reducing the deficit. It would take a lot of work to get
implemented, not only would the idea have to be adopted by both parties, it would have to be
supported by two of the three branches of government. The bill would begin in the House of
Representatives, after being passed there it would move to a vote with the Senate. If the bill
continues to be passed it will move to the executive branch where it can either be signed of
vetoed by the president, although a veto can be overridden with a two thirds vote from Congress.
Once it is passed the existing tax code would have to be completely thrown out and the flat tax
implemented. But this is not simply a month long process, the timeline for a flat tax to be
implemented would likely be about four years. It is a lengthy process, but one that is well worth
the wait.
While only economists can predict how a flat tax would impact

Descriptive Essay About My Small House
Clink! Bang! Crash! The my closet is overflowing once again. My small house is maybe a little
too small. I walked to the kitchen to get something to eat. I see the kitchen closet is overflowing
with pots and pans, again. The kitchen has a polished wooden floor easy to slip on if you re
wearing socks. Our kitchenis small, but big enough to put items on the shining counter. I looked
out to our backyard, I spot some fluffy looking white bunnies hopping along, eating the carrots I
left out for them. I dragged my body down the long hallway to my motherand father s room. I
complain, This house doesn t have enough space! My parents lookat each other with a depressed
look and sigh, We need to find a new house. The next morning it was a Saturday, I got dressed in
so comfortable clothes and headed towards the living room. I sat on the light brown colored
couch. The couch had different patterns, including the pillows. I picked up the remote and
flicked on some TV shows. I was in the middle of watching a show, when My mom and dad
come to me with an excited look on their morning faces. The light came in, shining on them like
they re on stage. There was a long silence, you could hear a pin drop. I looked at my mom then
dad and did it again. Until my dad finally spat it out, We found a house were going today and
seeing it! I felt my excitement was about to burst. At the end of the car ride, I stepped out the car
door. I heard the crunch of the rocks as I stepped

Crime And Theory Of Criminal Behavior Essay
Criminality or criminal behaviour has long been the subject of great interest within psychology,
captivating the interest of psychologists from all different perspectives (Hollin, 2013; Putwain
Sammons, 2013). Due to this, there are many approaches to criminality and theories of criminal
behaviour that have been supported by empirical evidence, which provide insightful, but different
explanations of this psychologyphenomenon (Eysenck, 2013; Hollin, 2013; Putwain Sammons,
2013). In spite of this, there are criticisms and weaknesses to these approaches and theories as well
as methodological limitations to the supporting research, which brings into question the reliability,
validity and usefulness of these approaches in the explanation of criminality and criminal
behaviour (Hollin, 2013; Putwain Sammons, 2013). As a consequence of this, this essay will
critically discuss the phrase once a criminal, always a criminal in relation to the biological
/evolutionary and psychoanalytic approaches as well as social learning theory, the social and
cognitive approaches.
The first approach that will be discussed in this essay is that of the biological/evolutionary
approach that states that criminal behaviour is a consequence of evolutionary adaptions to the
environment and a need to survive as well as reproduce, which is all based on sex and the
gathering of resources, such as financial wealth (Buss, 2012; Quinsey, 2002). In other words, the
biological/evolutionary approach

Effectiveness And Social Implications Of Privats
significantly conflicting perceptions regarding the interpretation of general facts, attitudes towards
each sector, and effectiveness and social implications of DOTS. The study suggested that such
differences might result in mistrust, differing views on reform propositions, conflicting mind sets
about social agendas, and unwillingness to collaborate [5]. Similarly, Slave et al.(2016) found that
PPs had contrasting perceptions about the different components of the TB programme such as the
feasibility of DOT[6]. In the pilot service linkage project between the public and private sector in
TB control in Kathmandu Valley, Nepal, Hurtig et al.(2002) found that the public sector, despite the
will, did not have the structure or resources to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Other reasons of mistrust are due to the NCTB s sense of losing control due to the transfer of the
responsibilities of direct supervision of patients and healthcare workers in administering DOTS to
external partners [1], and the mutual lack of experience in intersectoral collaboration [3].
Mistrust can also arise from the neglect of working relationship among significant actors on the
ground in implementing partnership. Kielmann et al. (2013) suggested that TB HVs had rather
limited flexibility in work schedule as senior officers implemented the very strict system of
checks and balances [2]. Communications, interactions, relationships Most of the studies have
pinpointed the importance of communications, interactions, and relationships among the NTP,
NGOs, PPs and other providers. In Maharashtra, India, for instance, over the years, the city TB
centre recognised the need for regular contact with the PPs to ensure their involvement in PPM
DOTS. TB HVs were also used to approach existing DOT provider PPs and request other PPs to
participate in PPM DOTS or to refer their TB suspects/ patients to the RNTCP [8]. However,
despite the TB HVs interacted with PPs on a regular basis, these interactions were inherently
unequal and ambivalent. TB HVs were in the awkward position of exercising control over PPs: one
the one hand, PPs were the profession they would respect and obey otherwise; on the other hand,
the non medical status of the TB HVs limited their interaction with the

Rejection And Desolation In Frankenstein
When it comes to the aspect of human nature, it can be concluded that as creatures of action, often
propelled by personal emotion, it is without a doubt that human beings have continued to shift
away from society s initial and original values, which in turn, results in society s formation of a
biased judgment as they are keeping away from what they consider to different or dissimilar. Over
the course of the past decades, it has become increasingly unchallenging for humanbeings to stray
from traditional beliefs. Furthermore, it has become apparent that humans have been very easily
motivated by and are often fueled by selfish desires. As human beings continue to be blinded by
their overriding emotions and allow themselves to be greatly affected... Show more content on

Over the course of the novels, it is revealed the ways in which dangerous tendencies can lead to
rejection and ultimately to physical and mental defeat. Put bluntly, these works illustrates the ways
in which rejection and desolation affects a certain character and the epiphany that ultimately comes
to light due to the tragic consequences they face. In Heart of Darkness, Kurtz highly dangerous
instincts ultimately causes him to be more susceptible to isolation, and consequently dies, possibly
as his punishment, with his final memorable words, The horror! The horror! (164). This phrase is
significant as it is almost a sense of realization, as Kurtz, the ultimately symbol of European
colonialism, recognizes the horror in his tendencies and the ways in which he has been blind to the
ways in which it has psychologically isolated him from the people in his life and more importantly,
from humanity. Furthermore, the nightmarish outcomes of rejection are completely depicted by the
influence on Frankenstein. Frankenstein, from the minute he is faced with the manifestation of his
work, flees, claiming that he felt mingled with the horror and the bitterness of disappointment (50).
This illustrates the ways in which he initially becomes destroyed psychologically, living in fear and
seeking vengeance, and then ultimately physically by his own creation. This event is highly
significant in terms of the consequences of rejection and the ways in which natural impulsivities
can lead to down fall, in that based on the superficial details, Frankenstein had abandoned his
creation and lived in anger and depression. And through this, it is clear to readers that he truly
embodies monstrosity. Due to his instinctive actions, he comes face to face with rejection that he
had

How Did Operation Barbarossa Invade Russia
1941: Operation Barbarossa
Russia tried to avoid war with Germany at the start of World War II, but this changed on June 22,
1941. Operation Barbarossa joined Russia into the World War II. This was the largest German
military attack, and unfortunately for the Russians, a very well planned operation. Operation
Barbarossa s name originated from the Holy Roman emperor, Fredrick Barbarossa, who set out to
conquer the Holy Land. This name was completely appropriate since the goal of Operation
Barbarossa was to capture the capitol of Russia, Moscow. Operation Barbarossa was an attack by
the Germans to join Russia into the war with Germany.
The plan of Operation Barbarossa started in July of 1940. Hitler decided he wanted to make an
attack on Russia. He saw a threat to his oil supply in Romania who was one of Germany s allies.
Hitler signed the first order of Barbarossa on December 18, 1940. Germany was breaking a non
aggression pact with Russia on August 23, 1939 with this operation. Although, it wasn t just
Germany who was paranoid; Russia was also suspicious of Germany. Germany s bold idea of
attacking Russia wasn t just to take over Russian territory, but destroy the Red Army (Soviet army)
with large battles and enormous amounts of demolition.
After much strategy and months of preparation, Germany invaded Russia on June 22, 1941.
Germany was well prepared with three separate army division in the North, South, and Central
areas of Russia s eastern border. Germany had about three

1920s Fashion Essay
Fashion in the 1920s and Its Influences
This essay reflects on the remarkable and unforgettable fashions worn by multiple groups in the
1920s. The extensive discussion of women s fashion opens a reader s eyes to the idea that the
style of the Flapper is not the only image to remember this decade by. Looking at the teenage and
middle aged women of this time, conforming to what society wanted was not the top priority and a
change in styles appears. Just like today, different groups of people dressed in different ways. This
paper will display how women and young girls dressed along with showing the similarities and
differences. Different groups, like the Flappers, stand out when thinking about a certain time and
contribute to the factors that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the book, Becoming Modern: Young Women and the Reconstruction of Womanhood in the 1920s
, author Birgitte Soland discusses the changes that historians saw with women post World War I.
Quoting these historians, Soland writes:
Once women had been let out of the cage and permitted to demonstrate their talents and
capabilities in the labor market during wartime, the spell of female domesticity was broke, and it
took a powerful mixture of ideological campaigns and coercive political measures to restore the
sexual division of labor after 1918 (Soland, 2002).
Women stopped kneeling at the feet of their husbands and tending to the man s every need. They
began standing up for the rights they deserved. Although women did not become equal to men,
they did earn the right to vote and work in the 20s. The rise of hemlines and drop of the waistline
may have been a reflection of their push to become their own people. With all of this change,
women began to gain more self confidence, leading to a change in views on fashions. Looking at
the amount that clothing changed in the 1920s leads to an idea that women may have found power
in the things they
