Essay On The Environment
Crafting an essay on the environment is undoubtedly a challenging endeavor that requires a
comprehensive understanding of various aspects such as ecology, climate change, pollution,
conservation, and sustainable practices. The complexity lies in the need to integrate scientific
facts, statistical data, and socio-economic perspectives to present a well-rounded and informative
piece.
Firstly, researching the latest and relevant information on environmental issues is a time-
consuming task. The subject is dynamic, with ongoing developments in climate science,
environmental policies, and technological advancements. Staying updated with accurate and
credible sources becomes a constant effort to ensure the essay's content remains current and
relevant.
Furthermore, maintaining a balance between scientific jargon and accessible language is crucial.
While it is essential to convey the severity of environmental issues, the essay should also be
comprehensible to a broad audience. Striking this balance requires a skillful use of language and
the ability to simplify complex concepts without oversimplifying them.
Addressing the interconnected nature of environmental problems poses another challenge. Topics
like deforestation, pollution, and climate change are interlinked, and articulating the relationships
between these issues demands a nuanced approach. The essay must convey the ripple effects of
environmental degradation on ecosystems, human health, and global economies.
In addition, proposing viable solutions and encouraging a call to action further intensifies the
complexity. Providing practical and feasible strategies for mitigating environmental challenges
requires a deep understanding of policy frameworks, technological innovations, and societal
behaviors. It involves not just identifying problems but also presenting a roadmap for a
sustainable future.
Lastly, the emotional aspect of the topic cannot be ignored. The environmental crisis evokes
strong emotions, and maintaining an objective tone while conveying the urgency of the situation
can be delicate. Striking the right emotional chord is essential to engage readers without veering
into alarmism or despair.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the environment demands a combination of research skills,
linguistic finesse, a grasp of interdisciplinary knowledge, and the ability to evoke emotions
responsibly. It's a task that goes beyond simply presenting facts; it requires the writer to inspire
readers to contemplate their role in environmental stewardship. For those seeking assistance in
navigating this intricate task, resources like HelpWriting.net offer a range of essay writing
services, providing support for various topics and complexities.

Digital Art Essay
Digital art is a general term for a range of works by the artists who use digital
technologies as a major part of the processes of creation and representation (Paul,
2006). Specifically, digital technology refers to the application of computers as
media and partners for the artists in creating art works. However, digital industry is
often a vague term and does not clearly define the final form of the art work. In his
book called Art of The Digital Age, Wands (2006) has classified digital artworks
based on their final tool to digital prints, sculpture, installations and virtual reality,
performance, music and art of sounds, video and animation, software, databank, and
the art of gaming. He says although many digital arts including digital picture... Show

Social Media And Web 2.0 Tools
Using Social Media and Web 2.0 tools to enhance the experience with Self Regulated
Learning
Self regulated learning is a total work of the human brain; it entails attention,
concentration, self assessment, change and responsibility for one in learning.
Research states that self regulation possibly have little to do with intelligence and
development. Psychologist in the year of 1960 studied how they discovered the
ability to delay gratification is by forming the basic for self control. A person

Learning 2.0 is technology enhanced learning that goes beyond access to traditional
educational materials and tools to construct a style of learning that is more engaging
for the student; this is accomplished through the demand pull approach which
presents students with a vivid, possibly virtual, learning construct. This self
regulated learning process is based on the student s desire to learn about a particular
topic or be a part of a certain community, and is usually informal. The demand pull

students engaged on a particular topic of interest. These social media technology
tools assist with the learning process based on the familiarity of the tools that are

Conflict And Conflict In The Distant Past By William Trevor
The Distant Past is a short story, wrote by William Trevor, addresses the
interweaving of the past and present. At first in the story, it seems as if the past
tensions between the British and Irish have evaporated and happening a good cultural
encounter but later in the story, this assumption proves to be untrue. It depicts the
lives of two descendants of the Protestant Middleton family and Old Irish inhabitants
in a time of the Troublesin the 1970s. The story focuses on the conflict between the
Irish Catholic townspeople and the brother and sister of the Middleton Family, who
are loyal to the Protestant British, and there were the main characters in this story.
Conflicts between the two religions date back to the 12th century when... Show more

Both the inhabitants of the town and Middletons are shocked and unhappy about the
events, they share the same opinion on the situation. At first, it seems that the
violence in the different country will not change the relationship between
Middletons and their friends. But gradually with disappearing the atmosphere of
tolerance and acceptance from the town, and the people losing their fortunes and
they remember the unsettled past. The ideas start to be suspicious towards
Middletons for their affinity with England the lingering connection between the
Middletons, England, and past makes them ostracised again, the same way as they
were in the distant past . And start to avoid them. The people start to behave
towards Middletons the same way as they did in the distant past . Then got back
the old animosity of the locals versus Middletons, even though they do not have
anything to do with wakening the Troubles is again. The siblings lose the respect

Payless Shoes Research Paper
As much as I love fashionable clothing, truth be told that it is the accessories that
make the outfit, especially the shoes. I am a self identified shoe aholic, so much
so that I own shoes that I don t wear! Tragic, I know. Living in Springfield, I don t
have a ton of places I can get affordable, fashionable shoes. But never the less, there
are a couple of highly recommended places to visit if you come to my town. The first
is Payless, since going high fashion , Payless has really stepped up with the
collection. As an affiliate of Payless on my blog, I am aware of all the sales at least a
day before they happen. The one thingI love about Payless is that you can go into the

I like simple colors and patterns, and I m not huge on belts, scarves or a lot of
jewelry. The one thing that I really enjoy though, are shoes. Shoes, I honestly
believe, are a girl s best friend. I know, I know, most people say diamonds are. But,
diamonds are usually given. Shoes, on the other hand, you can buy yourself.
Diamonds are expensive. Shoes don t have to be. Those are just a few quick reasons
why shoes are a must have accessory for me. Here s a couple more. Shoes can make
or break an outfit. I firmly believe this. For instance, today I wore a pair of plaid
pants and a black shirt. But my shoes were 3 inch black heels with a ruffle. And I m
pretty sure that s all anyone noticed about my outfit. Now I debated between those
and a pair of bright yellow sandals. I chose the heel because they were more
dramatic, which makes an outfit. If I had worn something else, it would have been a
completely boring outfit, but the shoes made it an interesting one. Shoes can express
who you are. I work in an office, where the norm is business casual. Which is nice,
but sometimes you want to dress it up a little bit. But, in an office full of business
casual people, you don t want to show up and be completely overdressed or dressed
inappropriately. The way I fix this is by wearing a pair of bright red heels or a pair
of ruffled heels. They are fancy, but not over the top. They dress up an outfit without
changing it

Of Thomas Mannп їЅs Tonio KroegerAnd Albert Camus s
The Stranger
Thomas Mann s Tonio Kroeger and Albert Camus s The Stranger
Introduction
The literary characters of Meursault and Tonio Kroeger are likely depicted as
outsiders in the novels The Stranger by Albert Camus and Tonio Kroeger by Thomas
Mann. The novels can both be described as existentialist investigations. In the school
of philosophy, existentialism seeks to investigate the relationship between individuals
and the society, the meaning of life, and the unavoidable conflicts in interpersonal
relationships among other inquisitions (Sleasman, 2014). Existentialism is evident in
the two novels under review as the characters are treated as outsiders.
Albert Camus The Stranger The concept of the outsider is demonstrated by the two
lead characters namely Meursault and Tonio Kroeger. In The Stranger, Meursault is
depicted as an outsider both in himself as well as the society as owing to his
criminal tendencies as he battles to show emotions and link with realities regarding
his life (Sleasman, 2014). Meursault is depicted as much disconnected to the current
world and life either emotionally or socially. For instance, the opening scene shows
how Meursault reacts to his mother s death. His lack of remorse and loss is both
salient and borders on the pathological. By falling asleep during his mother s funeral;
the action demonstrates the lack of feelings and social competence which children
are usually expected to show to their parents (Camus, 2012). Furthermore, he consents

Perfection In The Giver
Have you ever tried to achieve perfection? It never works out does it? In the novel
The Giver ,written by Lois Lowry, the main character Jonas realizes that his
community isn t as perfect as it seems. Jonas experiences throughout the novel
develop a theme over the course of the text by teaching the reader that you cannot
achieve perfection. Although some readers may believe that perfection is possible
Jonasexperiences show that striving for perfection can lead to bad consequences.
Throughout the book The Giver Jonas realizes that his community isn t as perfect as
he s always thought that it is once he starts to receive memories from The Giver. One
reason that one cannot achieve perfection is because humans are naturally imperfect.

Christianity Came Earlier to Britain and to Beowulf Essay
Christianity Came Earlier to Britain and to Beowulf Christian references/allusions
appear in Beowulf on six dozen occasions. Some scholars of the Anglo Saxon period
express erroneous notions regarding the arrival of Christianity into Britain. Janet
Backhouse in her book The Lindisfarne Gospels, says that these gospels, written
about 700AD, were made in north east England less than a century after the
introduction there of Christianity (Backhouse 7). Her view of dating Christianity in
Britain to the time of Pope Gregory the Great in the 590 s is a popularly held
misconception. The truth of the matter is that Christianity, which later Christianized
Beowulf, arrived into Britain very many years earlier than this. The... Show more

This seems reasonable according to what is written by the historian Eusebius
Pamphilus, bishop of Caesarea, in His Ecclesiastical History written in the 300 s.
The Ecclesiastical History is a history of the primitive church from the time of the
apostles until the 300 s when Eusebius died. Eusebius quotes the then existent
works of earlier writers like the Jewish historian Josephus, the philosopher Philo,
Clement, Papias, and church writers like Dionysius of Corinth and Caius who
lived before the year 100. In Book2, chapter14 of the Ecclesiastical History
Eusebius recounts how the anti Christian Simon Magus encountered Peter the
apostle in Rome: He [Simon Magus] undertook a great journey from the East
across the sea and fled to the West, thinking that this was the only way for him to
live according to his mind. Entering the city of Rome, by the cooperation of that
malignant spirit which had fixed its seat there, his attempts were soon so far
successful as to be honored as a god with the erection of a statue by the inhabitants
of that city. This, however, did not continue long; immediately under the reign of
Claudius, by the benign and gracious providence of God, Peter, that powerful and
great apostle, who by his courage took the lead of all the rest, was conducted to
Rome against this pest of mankind. He, like a noble commander of God fortified
with the divine armor, bore the precious merchandise of the revealed light from the
East to those in

Are College Students Selfish Research
I am going to begin this essay with a simple question, Are college students today
more selfish than previous generations? The simple answer is no. Yet, proving this
very assertion is far less straightforward. Thus, as is customary in law, I will,
instead, prove another assertion that, if proven to be true, answers the ultimate
question; and that assertion is, College students today are far more interconnected
than previous generations due to the rise in technology and social media. First, I
would like to address some of the research supposed to be defending the claims that
today s college students are more selfish. Many experts point to the rise in the
Narcissistic Personality Inventory (NPI) tests to support the increase in selfishness;
however, there are many flaws with these tests. For one, the sample group was
college psychology majors. This... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, such acts could be argued to actually be more considerate. It is common
knowledge that third person pronouns are used in writing that aims to be more
persuasive. Take, for example, the way I started this essay. After introducing the
ultimate question of whether college students are more selfish, I didn t say I
believe the simple answer is no, I said The simple answer is no. Such a use of the
third person apart from the first person is far more persuasive and leaves much less
at question. In such a context as this, where I am trying to persuade, that is common
practice. However, in other forms of literature, authors may seek not to persuade.
Even more, we must note the increased levels of political efficacy and the use of
politically accurate terminology in modern society. Thus, an increase in the use of I
could, in fact, be considered more considerate as it is not pushing the beliefs of the
author onto the reader, and is, instead, simply stating the belief to which they

The Empirical Solar Radiation Prediction Models Essay
Literature Review 2.1 Empirical Solar Radiation Prediction Models Solar
radiation estimation models were developed using meteorological parameters and
site geographical locations. These meteorological factors have a major influence
on the outcome of solar radiation intensity that reaches the earth s surface [11 14].
In addition, most models were developed with well maintained recorded data
provided by weather stations. For these reasons, earlier studies correlating solar
radiation to meteorological parameters were conducted by Angstrom in 1924. In
his research, a simple numerical technique correlating solar radiation to sunshine
hours was developed. Equation (1) represents the modified form of Angstrom
model by Prescott as [15]; H_i/H_o =a+bS(1) where by H_o is the global solar
radiation on a clear day, H represents final solar radiation outcome, a and b are
regression coefficients and S equals number of sunshine hours in a day. Since then,
numerous models and numerical techniques have been developed using
meteorological parameters together with the sites geographical locations in
developing solar radiation models. Most of these models fall into three categories
[16]; Stochastic Algorithm Satellite Derived Empirical Technique Correspondingly,
several methods were used to estimate solar radiation intensity [17]. The development
of models using empirical relationships has gain wider spectrum of applicability
because of its simplicity and convenient use of variables

Batman And Mr Freeze Fortune Review
Batman and Mr Freeze Fortune Review
Online slot developers have drawn from an endless source of pop culture references
and intellectual properties, all in the effort to bring you a casino experience featuring
characters and settings you know and love. This brand new release proudly draws
from the 1960s TV show featuring Batman and Mr Freeze, while cautiously avoiding
any reference to the Schumacher film that hardly did the characters justice.
The number of slots games featuring comic book characters has increased quite
considerably over the past several years, with Batman and Mr Freeze Fortune looking
to get in the hunt. Question is, will this Ash Gaming release live up to hype? Tuck
into our review below to find out!

Developed by up and coming industry name Ash Gaming, Batman and Mr Freeze
Fortune draws inspiration from its earlier titles. That being said, while still offering
several of its own unique features, this game manages to pay sufficient homage to its
source material. Batman and Mr Freeze Fortune game draws mostly from the campy
1960s movie featuring Adam West. As can be expected it is lovingly cheesy and self
referential all throughout.
Plenty of homages and references to the show can be seen, and older fans of the
series will be delighted by the nostalgic throwback this game represents. Overall,
while hammy, the design of Batman and Mr Freeze Fortune has a certain nostalgic
appeal.

Percy Jackson Analysis
All of humanity comes from something, someone, and somewhere. For instance,
every human has a mother and a father. However, not everyone knows from where
they come, who they come from, or why they are where they are now. The series
Percy Jackson and the Olympians show the title character, Percy, learning who he
is after learning where he came from all the while dodging monsters while playing
Capture the Flag on the side. One asset of knowing where you come from is
finding people who care about and understand you. For example, Annabel (Percy s
maternal figure), Charon, Tyson, and Poseidon are looking out for Percy, even
though he sometimes feels isolated. Even though he is usually simple spoken,
Tyson made one of the deepest statements in the series, even if his grammar was
poor. In chapter 19 of The Sea of Monsters, Tyson proclaims to Percy, I prayed to
Daddy for help as I knew he was omnipotent. Soon the people at Merriment found
myself. Met my friend, the magnificent Percy Jackson. The biggest blessing ever to
come from our Father. The guilt made me ashamed that I snarled that Poseidon
was mean. A god sent me a brother, and not only that, a preeminent one. Once you
know where you come from, you will always find people who love you for who you
are, even if who you are is an ADD demigod who controls water. Every familyhas
history that gets passed down through the generations all while creating special
traditions that only that family understands; although some of

and food to eat, but easy access to the classroom close to home. The Plos medicine

and now more than ever, homeless people can no longer be considered outside of

like hotels (Guttentag, 2015 ; Olson et al, 2016; Varma et al , 2016 ). Furthermore,
only Airbnb accommodations with high ratings and great reviews will be selected
for WTS X Airbnb packages because potential customers also look for
accommodations with higher review ratings rather than simply looking at the price
(Varma et al , 2016). By doing so, it will cater to this specialized segment looking for
local experience away from commercialized areas.
Airbnb is also crafting an app, Magical Trips (Appendix B) which acts like a
personal tour guide recommending travelers cultural places, historical trails and
explaining history of cultural locations. This could replace tour guides for F E
travellers.

Government Call Center Service Improvement Through Unstructured Data Analytics
Overview
Unstructured data analytics is an essential part of any Big Data offering. Making
sense of unstructured data is time consuming and complicated, yet the insights
generated from these data are valuable and meaningful if proper techniques are
utilized.
This report is to analyze the factors that could affect the resident satisfaction levels
based on the government call center service. Two separated models were constructed.
One is to investigate the departments textual reply data effects on resident satisfaction
levels, whereas the other is to understand the the resident satisfaction levels based on
factors excluding textual reply data.

Then data scientists may start extracting features and be prepared to build
explanatory models.
There are more than 80,000 resident complaint observations during 2014 and 2015.
However, there are limitations because only about 4,700 of them have been labeled,
which means this study could only investigate 5% of the overall data observations
from 2014 to 2015. The coefficient estimates may have biased due to the small
amount of the available data observations.
Constructing Explanatory Model
The first model is aimed toward understanding the key influencers on resident
satisfaction levels based on the labeled data (excluding reply text contents). The
method used within this model is logistic regression.
The second model is aimed toward understanding the department reply content effects
on resident satisfaction levels. The reply content data can be pulled from the
department reply attributes. The reply content data will be used to create unigram
document term matrix for further logistic regression analysis.
Interpreting the Selected Features
Figure 1. describes the variable importance ratios associated with the coefficient
estimates of each attribute from the observations. An estimate larger than zero means
the attribute has a positive effect on the resident satisfactory probabilities. An
estimate smaller than zero means this attribute may have a negative effect on resident
satisfactory

Principles . Principles In Community Development Are Used
Principles
Principles in community development are used to achieve overall goals and
achieve results (Checkoway 1995). Jim Ife has identified 32 principles of
community development that are seen as critical components and can be useful to
develop a framework for evaluating community development (Ife 2016). Many of
Jim Ife s principles are being acted upon in this case study such as Addressing
disadvantage and inequality, linking the global and the local, valuing local processes,
valuing local skills and relationship and dialogue.
Relationship and Dialogue is one of Jim Ife s process principles. Community
development essentially focuses on process rather than the outcome (Ife 2016).

Effective control requires ongoing structures and processes. Effectively community
control requires adequate resources, including income, material resources and
knowledge and strong skills base (Kenny and Connors 2017). This definition is
reflected on in the case study as the residents are teaching and learning from each
other. This enables them to use their own resources to develop a small business that
operates from an office in the estate. By developing a business and strategy plan, the
residences are taking control of their own development. The members of the estate
have set up these structures and plans, which enables them to have ongoing progress
for the future.
Healy refers to community development as a set of approaches focused on
understanding individuals as part of a community and on building the capacity of
that community to address the social, economic or political challenges facing its
members (Healy 2012). One of the adults was a graphic designer in his country of
origin. Through the access of computers he was able to expand on his knowledge
and learn how to create web designs. He then was able to share his knowledge with
others in the community to start up the business. Healys definition has been applied
to the case study as he community came together to build a economic future for their
estate.
Paolo could continue to engage all aspects of the community,

How Did The Civil War Reduce Sectional Antagonism
The Civil War did not reduce sectional antagonism so it could definitely have not
made the country a whole. Just because the war was over didn t mean that everyone

keep their slaves, slaves .
Prior to Civil War, distinct Northern and Southern cultures were established; North
strengthened on industrialized commercial area and the south reinforced with an
agrarian agricultural area. Racism ran rampant in the Civil War and sectioned off
everyone into their different groups and cliques. The north was more industrialized
and didn t really need slaves. But the south was around about 80% farmland so the

Wally Rippel Chapter Summary
In chemistry, one often uses the term catalyzed reaction to demonstrate the process
initiated by a starting function. The book begins by describing Wally Rippel,
CalTech student in the 1960 s who became disheartened with the blanket of smog
over Los Angeles. Wally Rippel is the first catalyst of the electric vehicle
movement, the source of persistence and passion that disrupted society and excited
the idea of the electric vehicle in the minds of the public. He set out to transform
his own VW Bus into an electrified one, but talk of batteries on CalTech Campus
as rare as what Rippel called a topic like sex used to be during the Victorian age (4).
Rippel began to doubt his project, conducting often frustrating, failed experiments
that no one else had researched before, but his unwavering passion allowed him to
persist through. He then dialed up MIT, CalTech s rival, to challenge them in the
first documented electric race across the country, which they accepted after initial
rejection of the idea. After nine days of creeping across the United States in their
electric van, Rippel s team had beaten the MIT team by half an hour. Following
media coverage, it was a victory that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There must continue to be popular sentiment toward the environment; the public
must be aware of the electric vehicle, aware that there is a healthy alternative to the
gasoline cars that are driven every day. However, adoption does not end with
awareness the public should be educated on the benefits of electric vehicles in order
to fully realize the lifestyle change they must make. Wally Rippel and the Toyota

nationally televised electric vehicle race or the promotion of electric vehicles in
Hollywood movies, the electric car should become a popular item in modern culture,
and a well understood one for that

Juvenile Residential Therapy
For offenders with mental health impairment, TJJD s institutional facilities are

most likely placed in Corsicana Residential Treatment Program. The immediate goal
is to treat the youth s mental healthimpairment. Once this is accomplished the focus
of treatment is on changing the delinquent and criminal patterns within the juvenile s

As mentioned within the paper, there are benefits to having services provided by
both public and private entities; however, there are also concerns. The public sector,
which was portrayed by services offered by TJJD, are required to provide yearly
reports. In many ways these reports keep the system accountable for the money
they are spending and the services they provide or require for juvenile offenders.
The reports are open to the public and are easily accessible. As it relates to
research, these reports allow people to critically assess juvenile programs, while
challenging the government to refine or create programs superior to the ones
offered in the past. Reports like these are harder to find regarding services offered
by private entities and is a concern. Programs in which juvenile offenders are
required to successfully complete, should never be determined by trial and error;
however, this is often the case. On a positive note, private entities and community
resources typically target the specific needs of a juvenile and include mental health
components. Programs which do not offer mental health services should be critically
assessed, as they are less likely to succeed. It is important that continued research is
applied to the programs offered by both the public and private sectors. As it stands
today, treatment services offered

Software Architecture and Software Design
1.Introduction
Scenario
A software design must be produced to support a number of self service stations for a
small supermarket (stand alone, not part of a national chain). This will involve
interaction with various hardware devices, the main aim is to design and evaluate a
suitable architecture and at least a simple demonstration mock up of the system
should be implemented.
The aims and business drivers of the project are to:
Develop a self service system that is safe and usable using ASP.net
Incorporate process customer payment
Determine how the system will interact with various hardware devices
Use the multi tier structure for the system s architecture
2. Overview of software architecture
To date the term software architecture is not precisely defined or agreed upon due to
the various conceptions and theories of the term.
According to Wikipedia (2014) software architecture is the design and construction
of software, it specifies the set of structures that are used to encapsulate describe a
software system. Software architecture is a set of architectural design decisions,
furthermore it is also specified by the set of principles and practises that are used to
document and design a system, documentation is used for software architecture to
capture design decisions in regards to the high level design and to allow for the reuse
of design components between projects.

The War Of The World War I
War has been a terrible part of the human existence since the beginning of time.
According to historians there has been only 268 years of peace out of the nearly
3,500 years that civilized humans have existed (Hedges). That is a staggering
statistic showing how deep rooted war is in the minds and hearts of people. So
while war itself might be inevitable the outcome of any given conflict is anything
but predictable. There are many different elements that come into play during
combat but perhaps the most influential factor is geography. In fact, geography has
been such an important part of war that a new field of study has emerged in recent
years entitled military geography. On particular war where the affect of geography
can be seen is World War I. During this war the newly formed Germany attempts to
invade Franceand gain control over Western Europe. This was invasion was designed
to be quick and decisive with Germany overwhelming Franc in as little as six
weeks. However, this plan failed terribly and led to one of the bloodiest, most
gruesome war of attrition the world as ever seen. A reason for this failure was the
geography of Western Europe. The land in this region is fairly level and flat
providing little to no cover for attacking forces. This geography played a pivotal role
in determining the outcome of two of the most well known battles of World War I,
the Battle of the Marne and the Battle of Verdun. Most people are pretty familiar with
the first Battle of the

Dynamic Equilibrium and Le Chatelierв Ђ™s Principle
Experiment No. 2: Dynamic Equilibrium and Le Chatelier s PrincipleDecember 1,
2011 Final Formal Results Le Chatelier s Principle states that when a stress is
applied to a chemical system at equilibrium, the equilibrium shifts in a direction that
reduces the effect of stress (Gross, Abenojar, and Tan 23). Moreover, it helps us
predict the direction of the shift of the equilibrium (Silberberg 745). Silberberg also
stated that there are three kinds of disturbances concentration, pressure, and
temperature that can be applied to a system at equilibrium. However, only
concentration and temperature were observed in this experiment. Part 1: Cobalt

Mixing the colors red and blue produced the magenta colored solution. The reaction
above is classified as endothermic while its reverse is exothermic. Increasing the
temperature caused the equilibrium to shift to the right resulting to a darker color
while decreasing the temperature causes the equilibrium to shift to the left resulting
to a lighter color. Conclusions Le Chatelier s Principle states that when a stress is
applied to a chemical system at equilibrium, the equilibrium shifts in a direction that
reduces the effect of stress (Gross, Abenojar, and Tan 23). The principle was seen in
this experiment; as a stress in this case concentration and temperature is applied to
the system, a shift in the equilibrium was observed. The principle also helped in
determining the direction of the shift of the equilibrium. Increasing the reactants or
decreasing the products causes the equilibrium to shift to the right and vice versa
(Silberberg 746). On the other hand, increasing the temperature favors the
endothermic direction while decreasing the temperature favors the exothermic
direction (Silberberg 750). Answers to Questions 1.How does one know when a
reaction is at equilibrium? A reaction is at equilibrium when the rates of the forward
and the reverse reactions are equal (Ladon). Reactants react to form products and

introduction
Eco design is an way of design the product with special consideration for the
environmental impacts of the product during its whole lifecycle. Within the present
economic, marked by the phenomenon worldwide process, by the awareness of the
existence of interdependence between environment and progress, we are become part
of the increase of the society s exigencies regarding the environment protection,
exigencies made known by more and more severe regulations. Forced by these
regulations, and taking into account the greater significance of the ecological criteria
when it comes to classifying products and services, on the market, under the
circumstances of a diversified and extremely dynamic offer, more and more
organizations are preoccupied with improving their own environment performances.
To this purpose, there are organizations that allocate significant amounts of their
investment funds, which favours the research development approach of those
environmental friendly processes and products.
Nowadays, the quality philosophy replaces the quality myth. It is obviously not or
the product and service quality that is brought into discussion here, but also the
relationship quality with the objects, the quality of the personnel, their intellectual
and cultural life, and the environment quality, as

Essay about Analysis of The Hunger Artist by Kafka
Analysis of The Hunger Artist by Kafka
Hunger is a term that is often defined as the physical feeling for the need to eat.
However, the Hunger Artist in Kafka s A Hunger Artist places a different, more
complex meaning to this word, making the Hunger Artist s name rather ironic. The
hunger of the Hunger Artist is not for food. As described at the end of the essay, the
Hunger Artist states that he was in fact never hungry, he just never found anything
that he liked. So then, what does this man s hunger truly mean? What drives the
Hunger Artist to fast for so long, if he is truly not hungry? The Hunger Artist
salivates not for the food which he is teased with, nor does he even sneak food when
he alone. The Hunger Artist has a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

turn, anything just to keep them awake to be able to show them again and again that
he had nothing to eat in his cage, and that he was fasting like no one of them could
fast.? (Kafka, 256). The Hunger artist was addicted to fame, and made every attempt
to show off his skill.
It seems ironic, however, that when his fans were near him, he would show no effort
to interact with the crowd. No stories, jokes, or anything of the like with which
shared with the watchmen. Instead, he seemed to take the fans for granted, almost
treating the fans as if they were weak and unimportant, ? occasionally even stretching
his arm through the bars to let them feel how skinny he was, but then again
withdrawing completely to himself, paying attention to no one.? (Kafka, 256) The
Hunger Artist assumes that the crowd will always be there, witnessing and admiring
his skills, constantly wondering, ?How does he do it?? So, as time goes on, the
hunger artist becomes more and more expecting of his crowd, hungering more and
more for the fame and love that his fans seemed to give. Unfortunately, every star, no

Visual Analysis Of Into The Wild By Ryan Harvey
When I looked through the TCC NW student collection, I got to appreciate a lot of
art that I had never paid attention to before. There were a lot of great pieces, but the
first one that really spoke to me was Into the Wild by Ryan Harvey. This painting,
featuring a scared young boy has a very clear mood and theme, and I feel like there
are many meanings that can be taken from it. Ryan Harvey uses lightand colorto
really push his message, and he makes the viewer really feel the emotionin the
painting. From an objective standpoint, there are two main focal points. The first
one is a young boy, maybe 4 years old. He has a blank expression on his face as he

I think that the author does an amazing job portraying his idea without having to
tell us very much. This is not to say though, that I agree with his message. Harvey
seems to be saying we are born pure and are corrupted by the world as we grow, but
I strongly disagree with this. As we go on through life, we meet new people and
learn new things. Even though there are times where things can be going
downhill, generally people will move up throughout their life, rather than falling
back. Although I don t agree with his message, I can definitely understand where
he comes from. There are some ways in which the blissful ignorance of childhood
is better than knowing the truth, but as you grow you learn to become a part of
the world, and whether you choose to go down the light or the dark path is your
own choice to make. In conclusion, Ryan Harvey s Into the Wild, is a great
example of how a picture is worth a thousand words. Harvey tells us a whole story,
of a young boy and his purity along with foreshadowing his inevitable descent into
the gloomy world around him. Into the Wild seems to have a pessimistic viewpoint
on the world, which I personally don t agree with, but the message in itself is
powerful; and the use light and color really do their part in pushing the message,
making the viewer really feel the emotion in the

Characterism And Symbolism In The Story Of Ahalya
Ahalya is not a character but a symbol. When a symbol is analyzed then it becomes
a character. A character unfolds to reveal its hidden reality. One of the best
examples of this is the story of Ahalya. In the story of Ahalya, every character
represents a symbol. Ahalya is the symbol of beauty. Indra is the symbol of
indulgence. Gautama is the symbol of ego and Rama is the symbol of
renunciation and spirit. ` Beauty is not only visual but also a realization. It could
be superficial but also has a finer and deeper meaning. When the essence of beauty
is not realized, both beauty and its observation are incomplete. Beauty creates as
well as destroys delusion. Indra created delusion in Ahalya while Rama destroyed it.
In the rise and fall of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But stigma remained. The mere touch of Indra led Ahalya s downfall and her
emancipation was instantly realized by the touch of Rama. Was it so easy and
simple? Ahalya, the daughter of Brahma, grew up with the sound of Om and was
not an ordinary woman. She was well versed in the Vedas thanks to her father. As
the wife of Gautama, she was a respected Vedic woman due to his high status.
However, with the touch of lustful Indra, she slid on the path of sin. As it is not
easy for a woman like Ahalya to commit sin, it is essential to analyze the downfall
and also the transcendence of Ahalya from psychological and sociological
perspectives. Many complicated, psychological, sociological and economic
reasons drive a person towards committing a sin. Hence Ahalya s carnal desire
cannot be the cause of her downfall. Many years of penance is needed for salvation.
Likewise, to commit a sin, long lasting deprivation, pain, psychological trauma,
revolt, depression and the resulting conflict play major roles. Committing a sin
needs no less diligence than obtaining salvation. So, why is there contempt for sin?
Many Vedic scholars have analyzed the symbolism of Ahalya, Indra, and Gautama.
Sometimes Ahalya is assumed to be the dawn and Indra is the cloud. By smearing
the dark cloud on the forehead of dawn, Indra has become the illicit lover of Ahalya.
But many scholars have depicted Ahalya as the virgin soil which is yet to be toiled.

How War Has Changed Society
War has been around for as long as mankind has existed. War has been around since
the beginning for two reasons; because people either wanted to have a better life or
to protect their way of life. People go to war to gain land, economic gain, government
affiliations, and religion. Over the time that mankind has been around, warfare has
changed significantly.
There is not much known about prehistoric and warfare. What is known is that war
did not happen very often. Small hunting and gathering groups that weathered the
last ice age had cause on occasion to attack each other. Such attacks were probably
for control of food sources, important raw materials water, trade routes, or perhaps
locations of presumed religious significance. Prehistoric hunters equipped
themselves with weapons to make their living. It was an easy step to turn those
weapons on neighbors. The earliest known burial site that was related to warfare
was along the Nile in Nubia. The skeletons have wounds on their bones that are
consistent with warding off blows. There were also pieces of what is thought to be
small flakes of arrowheads buried along with the bodies. This is significant because
war is not a modern thing, it has been around since the beginning of our species.
There is a little bit more known about neolithic warfare. During this time there was
increased economic incentives for war. Competition and incentive for armed conflict
between groups grew once the agricultural revolution began. The food

Comparison Between Routine Activities Theory And
Rational...
Today s class discussion was about Rational Theories, which states that individuals
make reasonable decisions and apply them to their daily life activities. Individual
make these decisions based on their best self interest. The major points of the
Rational Theory are: Routine Activities Theory, Lifestyle Theory and Rational
Choice Perspective. Routine activities theory states that the circumstances of an
individual s life is mainly decided by the daily pattern of social interaction or
activities. Therefore, depending on these routine activities criminal offenses could
ascend or descent (Williams and McShane, 2013, p. 238). Accordingly, routine
activities theory is basically the type of routine a person keeps, based on his/her
circumstances. Since everyone has different routine activities, some individuals will
be more prone to criminal attacks such as robbery, rape, murder, etc. as discussed in
class. For instance, a young woman that works until 1 o clock at night, and walks

They state that depending on a person s daily routine whether work or social
activities, victimization rate differentiate. (as cited in Williams and McShane, 2013,
p. 239). For example, people that have a higher status in society are at lower risk of
victimization because they engage in less routine activities and the places they hang
around are saved. However, deprived individuals have a higher risk of being
victimized due to the environment and the interactions with criminals, as well as, the
places they frequent are unsafe, as talked over in

Resilience In Through The Tunnel
Throughout a person s life, they are faced with many different kinds of adversity.
The only way to overcome this adversity is through resilience. Being resilient is one
of the best attributes a person can have because when one is resilient they never give
up.
Resilience is the epitome of overcoming the unexpected and achieving one s goals
no matter what may stand in your way.In the story Through The Tunnel by Doris
Lessing, the author reveals that when one perseveres, they can meet their goals and
overcome adversity. She says One, Two, Three. He counted steadily. He could hear
the movement of blood in his chest. Fifty one, Fifty two...His chest was hurting. He
let go of the rock and went up into the air...On the day before they left, He would do
it. He would do it if it killed him, he said defiantly to himself. When the boy says he

How to Tell a True War Story
How to Tell a True War Story O Brien was drafted into the army during the Vietnam
War. He is telling several stories in different points of views, of things that
happened to him and his buddies while at war and on how you or someone else
might believe or not believe a true war story. He tells about how his friend dies in
three different views. How his friend dies and it looks beautiful, somewhat how is
happened and then the true warstory. He also tells little stories within the whole
Story. The first story O Brien tells is how his friend s death looked beautiful. He
starts off by naming who is his friend was that died, which is Curt Lemon. Curt and

What a sight! O Brien and another soldier Dave Jensen were ordered to clean it up.
The thought of Curt s body splattered all over that tree still haunts him till this day.
Many war stories like this one will get your attention, some people might think its
true or they may think your lying. Then you will explain why you wrote or told the
story they way you did. The way you are adding, subtracting, and making things up.
But in the end all people like them, mostly women without the gore and blood.
Most Women would think of a war story as a love story. O Brien explains that in
the end, of course a true war story is never about war. Why say it s a war story and
it not be about war. I didn t understand the concept of telling the story three different
times three different ways. The way I see it why not tell the true war story from the
beginning not the end. The Ethnic moral of the story that O Brien puts out is he
told the story three ways to see if people would listen to the false one before he told
the true one., to see if they would still listen to a true war

Hiking Essay
There is a recent emergence an activity in America that numerous people have not
even noticed, what might this activity be, it is hiking. Hiking is an activity that has
recently become popular with people of all ages; since the year 1960 the number of
hikers in Colorado alone has almost quadrupled. Why is this? Countless people have
discovered what an excellent activity hikingis, and have found it extremely enjoyable.

When kids and teens get out in the woods, many times there is not internet, or cell
service. Although hiking sounds like the best activity ever, as with any argument,
there is an opposing side to this argument. Some people think that hiking is not a
thorough exercise, because whenever the hiker gets tired, he or she can simply turn
around and come back to civilization. Occasionally, there is no motivation for the
hiker to go hiking, especially if there is inclement weather. It was mentioned earlier
that rock climbing was a more extreme form of hiking, but some say that rock
climbing is an entire different sport with an entirely distinct set of problems. Despite
these issues, hiking is still one of the best activities for people to participate in.
Several of the issues are only what the public perceives of hiking, countless adamant
hikers hike even if it is raining, and when it is raining, some animals come out, this
gives even more motivation to hike in the rain. The majority of hikers do not turn
around while hiking because they want to get to the top of the mountain, or there a
serene mountain tarn. numerous hikers will not turn around unless there is an
extreme weather condition, or they are seriously injured. Overall, hiking is the best
activity for a whole body workout, and has the benefit of the whole family being able
to participate in this activity. A little more rigorous

virtual reality and how it can be used through the media. She explains how people

by being there in projection.
Nonny de la Pena states I can put you on scene in the middle of the story , through

could either play with another online player or an animated character. It felt like I

The movie I watched was called The Matrix which was about a man named Thomas
A. Anderson would lead a double life. By day he was an average computer
programmer and by night he was referred to as Neo, a computer hacker who must
help people that are imprisoned in an artificial reality known as the Matrix. Both of
these are examples of VR and represent how people and I take VR back into our lives
to express and inform people what we believe to be a different form of reality.
In conclusion, Virtual Reality comes from many different places and in many
different forms. Whether it be from the media, playing a videogame or even just
everyday life experiences. The thought and construction that are put into making

Essay on Majestica Hotel in Shanghai
MAJESTICA HOTEL IN SHANGHAI?
On March 20, 2005, Richard Roy, executive vicepresident of Majestica Hotels Inc.,
was in China, for negotiations with Commercial Properties of Shanghai Limited
(CPS). They were discussing a possible management contract under which Majestica
would be the operator of a new luxury hotel there owned by Shanghai Industrial
Holdings.
Majestica Hotels Inc. was one of the world s leading operators of luxury hotels. The
expansion into mainland China had been on management s agenda since 1999. The
opportunity emerged in late 2003 when a close friend of Majestica s chief executive
officer (CEO) revealed that CPS was looking for an operator for its new luxury hotel
under construction in Shanghai. Majestica immediately ... Show more content on

While Majestica expanded quickly in North America, it adopted a gradual
expansion strategy in Asia. This gradual expansion strategy shifted when the
opportunity arose to acquire a major competitor in Asia in 1998. This acquisition
made Majestica one of the world s largest operators of luxury hotels and resort
properties. More importantly, it provided Majestica with a much expanded
position in Pacific Asia and an immediate presence in the greater China area.
Majestica continued its international expansion by amassing a select portfolio of
medium sized luxury hotels in the world s commercial and financial centres. By
the end of 2004, Majestica managed 40 properties in 15 countries with
approximately 20,000 employees. The contribution of Majestica s properties in North

Learning and Growing Through Life s Losses in One Art From the instant life
begins the understanding that life is a progression of loss becomes apparent. Loss
is not something one can control. Loss cannot be manipulated, but only excepted,
and somewhat expected, as Elizabeth Bishop validates in her poem One Art. Bishop
s viewpoint of loss causes the reader to delve into a part of their psyche that many
are not comfortable with facing. Loss, no matter the magnitude is a hard thing to
accept. One Art with all its beauty helps the reader to understand the loss. Sometimes
loss is a brutal thing, while at other times, it is a thing of great beauty. As with all
things in this world, it all depends upon one s perspective. The nonchalant... Show

The poem being written in closed form with the first five stanzas being three lined
and the last stanza being four lined. The rhyme scheme followed by Bishop is very
particular, being that of ABA. The use of iambic pentameter is visible with the
stress on every other syllable, as well as the way in which every other line rhyme
with either master (1) or disaster (3). As the poem progresses into the third stanza,
the reader begins to sense the speaker s loss of control as the items being described
become more sentimental. I lost my mother s watch. And look! my last, or/ next to
last, of three loved houses went. (10 11). While the speaker seems to trivialize
these losses, the final loss of these items seems to be realer than is what is
bearable. The loss of her mother s watch is symbolic in the sense that it is more
than just a watch that was lost, the time and companionship which were shared
with her mother is the ultimate loss suffered. The speaker s ability to downplay the
reader also perceives the pain associated with loss in the way she uses the word
houses instead of homes. The association for so many being that of a home as a
source of many memories and love, while the house is only a domicile in which
one resides. Once again, the stanza ends with the line, The art of losing isn t hard to
master (12) suggesting once again, loss is normal as well as constant. The
progression into the final stanza delves a little deeper into who

Rhetorical Analysis Of Blackfish
The controversial documentary Blackfish, directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite rose
to popularity four years ago in 2013, when it was released. Blackfish tells the stories
of killer whales, or orcas, that were caught and kept in captivity, and the effects that
arose due to their capture. The documentary focuses on Tilikum, an orca caught in
1983, who was kept in captivity in SeaWorldOrlando since his capture for 34 years.
Blackfish does an excellent job in using all three rhetorical appeals, providing many
real life examples and statistics, to defend their argument that orcas should never be
captured or held in captivity. Blackfish does a great job at using all three rhetorical
appeals in defending their argument for the abolishment of orca captivity. First, ethos
is widely used throughout the documentary. Almost every speaker in the
documentary had a first hand experience with Tilikum or other captive orcas, giving
the document major credibility. Actual SeaWorld trainers who worked the shows
gave their personal first hand stories in working with the orcas. They themselves
explained how they saw Tilikum s behavior and health deteriorate. Former
amusement park managers who were either worked with Tilikum or dealt with the
business in capturing and trading orcas also gave their first hand accounts of what
had happened with Tilikum and other orcas. An OSHA expertwitness was also
included in the documentary speaking about the horrible conditions that SeaWorld
had put the orcas in. All of these experts in their respective field talking about the
dangers of orcas in captivity is a great use of ethos in Blackfish s argument against
orca captivity. In terms of pathos, Blackfish is also strong in delivering an argument
appeal to emotion. These SeaWorld trainers gave their personal stories in the
documentary, all sharing how they were so excited to work with the animals when
first applying and getting the job. They all explained how they truly were able to
develop relationships with Tilikum and the other orcas during their time at SeaWorld.
When talking about the incidents between Tilikum and trainer Dawn Brancheau, the
trainers emotion is shown when they stutter in their words, cry, and give their deepest
regrets

The Outcasts The Wannabes And The Plastics
The Outcasts, the Wannabes, and the Plastics
Everyone has had their fair share of high school drama; whether it s rude stares down
the hallway, distant whispering behind the back, spreading rumors about students and
faculty, social sabotage, or segregated school lunch tables. The teen drama film Mean
Girls delves into the sociocultural environment of teenage academia. This two hour
film documents how Cady, the new girl from Africa, starts her first day of public
school. Throughout her high school adventures she learns the social hierarchy and
rules created by the students for the students. As she begins to adjust, she climbs the
social ladder and becomes one of the cool kids, or as everyone calls them, The
Plastics. In the article, High School Confidential Notes on Teen Movies, by David
Denby, he claims that the enemy in teen movies is not the authority figure as some
may believe, but rather it is the students themselves, and the surrounding climate that
they create. The film Mean Girls is the perfect example that showcases Denby s claim
through superiority mindsets, social cliques, and lack of parental involvement.
Some high school students are reserved and get through the day as quickly as
possible, while others take control and claim superiority. They see others as inferiors
and make it their mission to intentionally make other students feel like outcasts. In
Denby s article, he states, the most hated young woman in America is a blonde¬...

Essay on Eiffel tower
Eiffel tower Just imagine you are standing 300 meters that is 984 ft above the
ground, looking down at the beautiful city of Paris. The wind is blowing at your
face and it is messing up your hair, but you do not care. You are on the top of the
highest building in the center of culture, the magnificent Paris and that is all that
matters. Yes, you are standing on top of EiffelTower. This is the first thing that comes
to your mind when you think about Paris, the tall, lean tower. But have you ever
wonder what would a symbol of Paris be if Eiffel Tower were never built? When
you think about Eiffel Tower you seem to automatically associate it with Paris but
that was not always the case.

In spite of their appearance, these massive spans serve no practical function. They are
strictly ornamental and do not help support the structure, which was the first object
built to withstand the forces of the wind as well as gravity. Only now, more than one
hundred years later, can we see the tower in context. It has aged gracefully and no
longer stands in contrast to the ornate architecture that has survived in modern Paris.
Once the exposition was over, plans were made to destroy the Eiffel Tower. The
monument that brought so much displeasure because it represented that which was
modern, new, and very un Parisian, was actually saved by technological advances.
Engineers realized that the structure would make a perfect broadcasting tower.
The tower gets its name from Gustave Eiffel, the man who designed the monument,
and also did the girder work for the Statue of Liberty now in New York harbor.
Looking at its open frame, it comes as no surprise that Eiffel was a bridge engineer
when he entered the competition along with 100 other people to design this lasting
monument to French culture. In fact, it took just two years and 300 steel workers
for it to reach its pre television height of 984 feet. The construction work began in
January 1887 and was finished on March 31 1889. In spite of this height, the Eiffel
Tower has just four floors. All are served by specially designed elevators that,
instead of running up a vertical track, move along a curve dictated by the

Black Athena
Similar to the section covering the Black Athena and the nuanced debated
surrounding it, there is another debate area that my research delves into that I will
give a brief overview of. The debate can be summarized in a single question; what
is art and what is artifact? Obviously when asked that question an answer
immediately springs to our minds, most likely an image of a famous artwork we
were shown in elementary school and perhaps an image of an archaeological dig
site but the question stands; what is art and what is artifact? For some the
difference is if the object had a utilitarian use or if it was merely decoration and, for
others there is no difference. But, for researchers dealing with objects thousands of
years old and scholars use... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Coaching and Mentoring
Organizations nowadays are not free of the burden of their employees making costly
mistakes. Should they fall behind schedule on a particular project or if their current
skills are not sufficient enough to compensate for an adjustment that is needed by a
client that the company is servicing, then either the company will waste an
opportunity or it will suffer a loss because their employees were not well equipped to
handle specific situations. And because of this, mentoring and coachinghave become
a very strategic manner in which organizations train and manage their employees. In
such a setting, the atmosphere is more personal as opposed to a seminar and it is
quite helpful as some cases have attested to it. The goal of mentoring is to be... Show

This will address the specificity of the issues that he or she needs to be coached at.
The process of mentoring offers the right venue wherein both worker and manager
are able to offer specific information to one another so that they will be able to
mutually advance on their own. A perfect example for this is that the younger
generation may be able to help baby boomers help out with their marketing strategies
regarding the marketing trend that the newer generation is currently adopting or help
may also come in the form of helping them with technical skills that are needed in
today s fast paced economy.
As a manager or a supervisor, it is imperative that coaching or mentoring becomes
part of a company s policy because it offers the chance of improving the quality of
service that an employee gives, thus improving the quality of service that a company
gives. The end goal of ultimately addressing the bigger picture may come from
successfully mentoring a particular employee but in and of itself, coaching and
mentoring has its rewards already present. The coaching or mentoring that an
individual gets gives rise to a two way benefit that can only come from a successful
mentoring program and a well equipped mentor.
