Evolution of Human Rights in India can be traced back to the fifteenth century B.C from Vedas. Before the introduction of Human Rights in India, women were treated unequally. U nfair trade practices like Adulteration were present which violated Consumer Rights. Educational Rights were not provided to students. History of Human Rights in India
GENDER ROLES ARE MORE FLEXIBLE WOMEN'S ’ VOICES ARE LOUDER THAN EVER BEFORE Labour for women has been approved. Remuneration for women is gradually being acceptable. W omen assume roles and responsibilities previously only filled by men.
CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT WAS INTRODUCED Unfair trade practices were abolished. The following rights were implemented: Right to basic needs, safety, information, choose, representation, redress, consumer education, and healthy environment.
Right to Education was Introduced Free education to all children of India. No harsh treatment towards students. Quantity and Quality of Teachers.
Conclusion India has seen tremendous progress in the scope of human rights since the time it was implemented through the various Acts and Provisions, up until now. There have been multiple cases that have sought to uphold individual rights to ensure that the citizens enjoy a high quality of life and enjoy all those freedoms, liberties and rights that our forefathers sought so hard to acquire.
