Narrative Essay Examples
Narrative Essay I step my foot into public school for the first time ever my freshman year, not
knowing a single person other than my brother. Prior to my freshman year, I was homeschooled.
The school feels really big at the time and it's very overwhelming. As I walk around I see people
hugging, reuniting, and saying, "oh my gosh I have missed you!" All I am worrying about is
what people are thinking of me like, does she have any friends, or she looks like a loner. I am
getting nervous and more nervous every second that passes. I decide I need to go straight to my
classroom, but I have no idea where to go. I finally make my way to my classroom, then I sit down,
and the bell rings. "The day is just beginning," I think to myself....show more content...
I am halfway through the day. After this long day it's still not over yet, I am just half way through
the day going into 5th period. As I walked in I see a girl I already met and I wanted to run and give
her a hug, I was so excited to see someone I already knew. I didn't have to worry where I was going
to sit that period, or who I was going to talk to. I probably looked like the happiest person in the
world with a big smile on my face. As I am smiling as I say, "hello, Claire right?" She says, "Yes!"
We sit together, exchange social media usernames, and numbers. Later, I go to 6th period, my
science class. When we come in the teacher says to talk with people to sit in alphabetical order. I
am placed next to a kid named Dominic Thomas, and his buddy is sitting on the other side of me.
They were acting like I didn't exist, and getting in my personal space. Later, the teacher says, "The
person sitting at your table will be your lab partner." That's when I found out Dominic Thomas will
be my lab partner for the quarter. I did not know what was coming for me. Finally, 7th period here I
come. Now this class was one crazy class, with some crazy people, but it was all good because I get
to leave after this period. The bell rings and I am out of there. Leaving school I am feeling many
emotions, I am happy to leave, excited to tell my mom about all I experienced that day,

Example Of A Narrator
The narrator event's he uses I think isn't very credible I think it's unusual and unreliable on how he
hasn't talked. Also he hasn't even heard his own voice. My understanding of the narrator definitely
added some suspense for myself because I was thinking like, "How would he react?" when he went
to that party "I cannot even hint what it was like, for it was compound of all that is unclean,
uncanny, unwelcome, abnormal, and detestable." I think that the author did a good job on picking
what the narrator would be like because I felt like he was going to do something unpredictable.

Essay on Sports Narrative
Tyler Douglas Professor Thamm Eng 101–10:00 a.m. Due: Sep. 29, 2008 Essay #1 Narrative A
major role in my life would definitely be sports. It is almost as if I look up to sports because I could
not live without them. Sports pretty much define me as me. I love to play sports as well as watch
all kinds of sports on T.V. and if I could ever go to a game and watch the players play live I would be
thrilled. Basically sports define me because I am ambitious, I finish what I start, I set goals for
myself, and I am a fierce competitor in which I love to win and I hate to lose. The greatest part
about sports to me is living for the moment when the game is on the line and the pressure is on can
you come through and make a play for your...show more content...
With the game tied 6–6 that is when I went into my own little zone and was in my moment. The
crowed was electrified and cheering us on. I thought about all the hard work the coaches put us
through doing two a days and keeping us late after a hard practice, spending all of that time and
hard work just for this one little moment when the game was on the line. Back to reality our
quarterback had started the play and it looked like it was going nowhere and we might have to got
into overtime. Then after about 6 crazy seconds he threw the ball to our halfback and he broke a
couple tackles and the somehow stretched across the goal line by about 2 inches and we had taken
the lead 8–6 with 52 seconds to go. When the game clock hit 00:00 for the first time in our schools
history the football team had beaten Aberdeen and none of us could believe it. This was a special
moment. Now, it was in this moment when I had realized that sports define me as me because we
never gave up, none of us wanted to lose, we set a goal and completed it, but most important we
kept our eye on the prize and came through in the moment when the game was on the line. Nobody
is going to remember how many games we won or who the best player on the team was that season,
but I guarantee what people will remember is when we had beaten Aberdeen for the first time in
school

Example Of Narrative Paper
On 2/29/16 at 1130 hours I Jessika Musquiz was dispatched to 148 Suzie St regarding a petty theft.
I arrived at 1150 hours and met with victim, Maria Garcia who told me the following. At 1120
hours Garcia arrived at her friend's house and parked her car in the parking lot. She went into her
friend's house for 5–10 minutes. She returned to her vehicle and noticed her iPod was missing. She
called the police. Garcia described the missing property as mini black iPod with white headphones
attached. Valued at 60 dollars. I examined the vehicle and noticed no broken windows or no damage
done to the locks. Garcia realized she may have left the doors to the vehicle unlocked. No further
action taken.

Narrative Essay
As times goes on you, realize life isn't all it seems to be. You learn life lessons and certain life
events teach you things that can lead to you improving yourself as a person. As you realize most
things in life are provided to you, you never truly realize how much everything can mean. As
teenagers most of us are immature and do not realize how easy it is for us to lose everything we
have. As we could lose everything and anything in a matter of seconds if we are not careful.
It was another typical Monday morning, I had that same feeling I always do when I wake up,
dreadly having to get up, use the bathroom, and brush my teeth and get ready for school. It is the
same process throughout the whole week until Friday....show more content...
The next week was a breeze and it comes down to the night before I had already packed all my stuff
that night I was told of the trip. Next morning I woke up bright and early ate breakfast and we
headed to the airport. The next few hours were mostly just traveling typical airplane food, only thing
that was interesting about the travel was the fact that during one of flights I was sat beside a drunk
idiot and then got moved up a few seats and got 3 seats all to myself! When we finally landed in
Pakistan it did not look anything different than in Canada. I thought "oh well maybe it looks the
same, and is the same" because personally I didn't know much about this place other than the fact
I had family here. When we got all our stuff and headed out in a car I noticed nothing different but
that might have been due to the fact I was kind of fatigued and the fact we were in a bigger city.
On the travel to my cousins I fell asleep, and didn't get woken up until we reached their house.
When I got out of the car I was too tired and was way to jetlagged to realize how different things
were so I went straight into the house and went back to bed.
I mostly slept for the whole first day. As I woke up by my family, they invited me to go out and try
out some of the local foods as everything here was very fresh down to

Example Of Narrative Report

every Tuesday. Last time, they had bites all over them. It's some type of bug bites. They said the
children were taken to the hospital. This time, Bailey's left eye was swollen and red. It looked like

The children were last seen on July 5th. They will come for a weekend visit this upcoming
weekend. Reporter is concerned about the children being smelly and dirty. They have a odor like
they're not bathing. Their clothes and shoes are ridiculous. Their white shoes are turning black.
They need to be washed; they are dirty and not clean. The children's hair is falling out because it's
not combed. Reporter stated the children live with a white couple and he guess they don't know
how to comb black people hair. Reporter has no way of contacting the foster parents about the
concerns. They can't contact the children unless they are visiting. About two weeks ago, the mother
was hit by a car. They have been in custody since May 2017. The children don't need medical
attention the reporter is aware

Literacy Narrative Essay example
At this point in my life I find myself in an interesting predicament regarding my attitudes toward
reading and writing; more so towards reading. Years ago I used to love reading books for pleasure
but nowadays I find myself reading things that little to no effort to digest. This includes the very
basic posts on facebook expressing one's opinion on something or articles and threads on reddit
discussing topics I find intriguing. Perhaps it's the severe senioritis that has overcome me as I
enter my last semester at Chapman University. As I've gotten lazier I can see it start to reflect in
my everyday life. Deep down I still love to read but I rarely find myself getting truly invested into
the action unless it relates to something I am very...show more content...
You can feed the mind as much as you want and it will never get full of reading. Sadly, I'm not the
same person that I was. I guess you could say it's part of growing up. It never really was
intentional but it's just the way how it ended up. On the other hand my attitudes toward writing
are very different. First let me say that deep down I truly do not like to write. I myself don't
personally like to write for leisure or pleasure but rather I write because I believe it is one of the
most important aspects of being able to communicate with those around you, both personally and
professionally. To put differently, my attitude towards writing is that I write because I need to
write and survive in the world around me. I write because I have to, not because I want to.
Hopefully this somewhat makes sense. To better explain let me make a comparison. When I am
assigned a writing assignment or I am writing because the action is being forced upon me I find
myself not enjoying the process and overall the end result is subpar. The perfect example of this
would be my junior year in high school when I was enrolled in AP english literature. I dreaded the
majority of the class simply because there was so much writing involved in the entire course and
therefore I was constantly writing just to get a grade. Being forced to write in such high volume
every week for an entire school year was not enjoyable for myself and as a result the

On 27Apr17 at 1439 hrs. I received a message from Sheriff Aukes inquired about my return to duty
date/time & he informed me he was meeting with Nicole & Tim on 28Apr17 at 1000 hrs. as they
wanted to speak with him about the circumstances surrounding the report filed by Eric.
Sheriff Aukes informed me both Nicole & Tim felt like they were blindsided in court when Eric
used the report he filed at the hearing against them, & they both stated the details Eric reported to
me were completely fabricated & false. On 29Apr17 at 1146 hrs. I made contact with Nicole & we
spoke about the incident & details surrounding Eric's report. Nicole informed me she wanted to
respond to the report Eric filed & state that the majority of the things Eric reports were false.
Nicole stated someone had, in fact, blocked the driveway to Eric's cabin, however, there was
enough room for him to drive around the vehicle & he in fact did. Nicole stated once Eric started
taking pictures numerous people included those mentioned in this report, asked him why he was
taking the photos. Once he did, he then parked his vehicle with the headlights shining on the
restaurant & that was when Bruce went to speak with Eric. Nicole stated Bruce & Eric never did get
into any physical altercation & that they only spoke about why...show more content...
Tim stated he only watched Bruce & Eric and informed me there was no physical altercation
between them at all & Tim himself did not get involved. Tim believed Eric to be harassing a lot of
the Vacationaire customers by placing the no parking signs on the property they should be sharing
between the business & the housing association. Tim informed me while we were on the phone that
Eric had just pulled back into the area & he was watching him remove a post–hole digger from the
vehicle & he believed Eric would be placing more
