A Tenses is a form of verb which allow us to
express time . Tenses in grammar is used to
indicates the time of an action: past , present
and future each tense has 4 aspect – simple,
continuous , perfect and perfect continuous.

Past tenses indicates action or events that have
occurred in the past. It has four aspects :

Past simple - Which denotes completed action.
Ex = She wrote a letter.
Past continuous - For ongoing past action.
Ex = She was writing a letter.
Past perfect - For action completed before past action.
Ex = She had written a letter.
Past perfect continuous - For action ongoing in the
past before another action.
Ex = She had been writing a letter.

Present tense describes actions or states occurring now or
generally true . It has four aspects :
Present simple - Indicating habitual actions or general
truths.
Ex = She writes a letter.
Present continuous - For ongoing actions.
Ex = She is writing a letter.
Present perfect - For action completed at an unspecified
time.
Ex = She has written a letter.
Present perfect continuous - For actions that started in the
past and continuous now.
Ex = she has been writing a letter.

Future tense indicates actions or events that will happen.
It comprises of four aspects :

Future simple - Expressing forthcoming action.
Ex = She will write a letter.
Future continuous - Describing ongoing future actions.
Ex = She will be writing a letter.
Future perfect - For action completed before a specified
future time.
Ex = She will have written a letter.
Future perfect continuous - For actions ongoing up to
future point.
