Design and application of the "Life Reform" Program with intervention in companies with the purpose of accrediting them as healthy companies to train Health Leaders. Organization and incorporation of natural pharmacies in the health National Petition for Complementary Medicine Resources and Supplies. Promotion of Research in Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine through the Institute of Traditional Medicine and the Center of Clinical Research. Key areas of collaboration with WHO between 2019 and 2022: Six initiatives were worked on , concluding with the following two: Develop an analysis and systematization of regional experiences on programs to strengthen health and selfcare through the MTCI. Product: Elaboration of a technical document of successful experiences in health care improvement. 1. Identification of key elements to organize and implement the MTCI in the health system and services with an intercultural approach. Provide technical document containing these elements that will serve as a guide for the countries of the region. 2. It was possible to establish the thematic structure in Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine, together with the MTCI Americas Network. And BIREME- OPS/OMS Work was done on the terms DeCS (Health Sciences Descriptors) and MeSH (Medical Subjective Headings) to improve MTCI.
Provide technical inputs for the elaboration of a proposal for quality and safety in the practice of complementary medicine in health systems and services. 3. Develop and implement a training program to improve the skills of health professionals to promote the articulation of MTCI in health systems with an intercultural approach by designing and executing an eight-week online training package and its associated educational resources. 4.
Biodiversity conservation and supply chain strengthening, such as medicinal plant inventories, germplasm banks, pharmacopoeias, and surveillance. Two key suggestions for new WHO strategy on TCI 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Encourage the creation of T&CM services, sensitization of managers and health professionals, and technical and financial support for the creation of these services. Strengthen training and research networks, human resource training, and collaborative work in the Americas. Establishment of expert committees and university networks. Organization of the user community: T&CM user networks to strengthen selfcare and care for others. Promote collaboration agreements between Collaborating Centers, which will allow progress, improvement of services, and financial support.
Towards the articulation of traditional complementary and integrative medicines in health systems , with respect for interculturality as a guarantee of universal access to health services . Thank you !
