Introduction:
Facades, the outer face of a construction, protect from weather and interior comfort. They balance
lighting, ventilation, and noise control. High-tech strategies exploit facades' energy-saving
capabilities, with factors like mechanism, material, and design determining energy consumption.
Objectives:
To identify the various design techniques and criteria based on the above process
To study in detail about the upcoming facade systems.
To identify the impact of skins through studying case studies.
Hypothesis:
The study aims to comprehend the various facade systems, their components defining a building's
unique aesthetics, and their impact on energy efficiency in exterior and interior areas.

Case Study
Aspect The case study of Al Bahr Towers
(UAE)
Palace Italia
Introduction This case study aims to familiarize
readers with the design process,
modeling, and performance,
focusing on energy use and
comfort.
The Palazzo Italia is covered in a
special smog eatingconcrete that
will clean the air around it.
Project Overview
Al Bahr Towers in Abu
Dhabifeature the world's largest
computeriseddynamic facade.
Building is made up of cement
mixed with Titanium dioxide that
functions as a catalyst to the
chemical reaction which
isactivated by UV light.
Implementation Strategy The aim of this work is to explain
and find out in detail the process
of design, construction, and use of
a glass façade panel of Al Bahr
Towers, and to figure out the
worth, amount, or quality of its
performance.
Not only does it filter the air, but
the collected smog residue washes
off with a light rainfall.

-Building Facades: A Physical Mediator Between Internal and External Environments.
-Sustainable and kinetic performance facades optimize comfort and energy efficiency.
-The study recommends smart building facades for green buildings and the future development of
low and ultra-low-energy buildings.
-These technologies offer long-term benefits and are both financially and environmentally
feasible.
-Climate, lighting, thermal insulation, sustainable material selections, fenestrations, glare, and
moisture are among the variables that designers take into account.
