Family Murdock defines family as a social group characterised by residence, economic co-operation and reproduction. MacIver, “Family is a group defined by a sex relationship , sufficiently precise and enduring to provide for the procreation and upbringing of children.” In general : The family is an organized group based on a network of relationships. These relationship provide basis for the definition of the family and assignment of rights and duties between members.
