Eugeniusz Bodo- he was one of the
most popular Polish comedian actors of
the inter-war period. He starred in 'The
Shop Assistant' and 'Is Lucy a girl?'. He
was a gifted singer, who was the icon of
the Polish commercial cinema. He was
arrested by the Soviets and died in a
gulag.

3. Tola Mankiewiczówna
She was born in 1900 and
died in 1985. Tola
Mankiewiczówna was one of
the most popular Polish
actresses and singers. She
fought in the Warsaw
Uprising in 1944.

4. Jadwiga Smosarska
She was a
Polish film
actress. She
appeared in
more than 25
films between
1919 and
1937.

Pope John Paul II

He was born as Karol Józef
Wojtyła in Wadowice. He
was a Roman Catholic
priest, bishop, and Cardinal
who eventually rose to
become the Pope. John
Paul II was the first non-

6. „DŻEM” (JAM)
This is a Polish band which
plays a rock music. It was
created by the Beno brothers.
Then Ryszard Riedel, the main
voice, joined them. They came
out in the 80s and… became
famous! You can check them
out on youtube.

7. Lady Pank
A Polish band which was
created by John Borysewicz
and Andrew Mogielnicki in
1981. They wrote many
songs which are hits even
now.

8. Aneta Kręglicka (born on 23 March 1965)
She is a Polish dancer and the
most beautiful woman in the
world! She won the Miss World
1989 contest on 22 November
1989 in Hong Kong where she
represented Poland. She became
the first and only woman from
Poland who won the title. In the
same year, she was the first
runner-up at Miss International
1989 held in Japan.

9. Danuta Szaflarska
She is a Polish screen and
stage actress. In 2008 she
won an award- the Golden
Duck- for the best Polish
actress of the century.
Szaflarska participated in the
Warsaw Uprising as a liaison
girl. Szaflarska was awarded
the Order of Polonia
Restituta, the Commander's
Cross and the Commander's
Cross with Star, one of
Poland's highest Orders, and
the Gold Medal of Gloria
Artis (2007)

10. Jan Englert (born 11 May 1943)
He is a Polish film actor.
He has appeared in more
than 60 films since 1957.
He has been working as the
Artistic Director of the
National Theatre in
Warsaw since 2003.

11. Cezary Pazura
He is a popular Polish actor
known for his comedy roles
in movies such as 'The Killer,
'Boys don't cry', 'Nikodem
Dyzma's Career” and a
sitcom 'The 13
th
Police
Station'. He is also a stand-
up comedian and a popular
voice actor.

12. Zbigniew Boniek (born 3 March
1956)
He is a former Polish footballer,
manager and the current head of
the Polish Football Association.
He is considered as one of the
greatest Polish players. Zbigniew
Boniek was selected in 2004 by
Pelé as one of the 100 best living
footballers.

13. Robert Lewandowski (born 21
August 1988)
He is a Polish footballer who
plays as a striker in Bayern
Munich in Bundesliga. He was
the captain of the Polish
national team.

14. Kamil Stoch (born 25 May 1987)
He is a Polish ski jumper, a
member of the national team.
He won the World
Championships 2013 and
double Olympic
Championships in 2014. He is
a bronze medalist as a
member of a team at the
World Championships in
2013.
He was the World Cup
holder ! He set a new Polish
record in ski jumping !

Julia Wróblewska- was
born in 1998, so she is
16 years old like us 
She is a teenage
actress. Her first role
was in a comedy-
'Only love me'. She is
cute, isn’t she???

16. Mateusz Pawłowski
He was born in 2004 and is the
cutest boy in Poland ! He has
just started his career in a
comedy series 'Family.pl'. We
are counting on his talent !
