Dexter's Laboratory
(commonly abbreviated as
Dexter's Lab) is an
American comic science
fiction animated television
series created by Genndy Tartakovsky for
Cartoon Network. The series follows a
boygenius named Dexter who has a secret
laboratory filled with an endless collection
of his inventions. He constantly battles his
annoying sister Dee Dee, who always gains
access to his lab despite his efforts to keep
her Out, as well as his arch-rival and
neighbor, Mandark. The series' first two
seasons contain additional segments: Dial M
for Monkey, which focuses on Dexter's pet
lab monkeyturned- superhero, and The
Justice Friends, about a trio of heroes.
Ben 10
Ben 10 is an
American media
franchise created by
"Man of Action" (a
group consisting of Duncan Rouleau, Joe
Casey,
Joe Kelly, and Steven T. Seagle), and
produced by Cartoon Network Studios.
The franchise is about a boy who acquires a
watch-like alien device called the Omnitrix
(later the Ultimatrix) that allows him to turn
into alien creatures. The Ben 10 franchise
received widely acclaimed reviews and
won two Emmy Awards; also has grossed
over $2 billion in retail sales in Europe, the
Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and has
sold 100 million toys worldwide.
Tom and Jerry
Tom and Jerry is a
series of theatrical
animated cartoon films
created by William Hanna and Joseph
Barbera for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer,
centering on a rivalry between a cat (Tom)
and a mouse (Jerry) whose chases involved
comic violence. Hanna and Barbera
ultimately wrote, produced and directed 114
Tom and Jerry shorts at MGM cartoon
studios in Hollywood from 1940 to 1957.
The original series is notable for having won
seven Academy Awards, tying with Walt
Disney's Silly Symphonies as the theatrical
animated
series with the most Oscars.
Dragon Ball
Dragon Ball is a Japanese
manga series written and
illustrated by Akira Toriyama.
It was originally serialized in
Weekly Shōnen
Jump from 1984 to 1995, with
the 519 individual chapters published into
42 tankōbon volumes by Shueisha. Dragon
Ball was inspired by the classical Chinese
novel Journey to the West. The series
follows the adventures of the protagonist,
Son Goku, from his childhood through
adulthood as he trains in martial arts and
explores the world in search of the seven
mystical orbs known as the Dragon Balls,
which can summon a wish-granting dragon
when gathered.
Power Puff
Girls
The Powerpuff Girls
is an American
animated television series created
byanimator Craig McCracken and produced
by Hanna-Barbera (later Cartoon Network
Studios) for Cartoon Network. The show
centers on Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup,
three kindergarten-aged girls with
superpowers, as well as their "father", the
brainy scientist Professor Utonium, who all
live in the fictional city of Townsville, USA.
The girls are frequently called upon by the
town's childlike mayor to help fight nearby
criminals using their powers. McCracken
originally developed the show in 1992 as a
cartoon short entitled Whoopass Stew! while
in his second year at CalArts.
