MIND OF CHRIST - WEEK 5

1. Philippians 2:5-11 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men :

2. Philippians 2:5-11 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name :

3. Philippians 2:5-11 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth; And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

4. A . What kind of mind do you want to possess?   Business mind Scientific mind  Good mind Strong mind Artistic mind Organized  mind Intellectual mind

5. B . Whose mind do you want to have? whose brain?  Einstein , Plato , Jose Rizal, Bill Gates, Henry Sy , Steve Jobs ,  etc ?

6. ALL CHRISTIANS MUST HAVE CLEAR ANSWER…. THE MIND OF CHRIST.

7. This message is a big help to our MENTAL HEALTH , POSITIVE MINDSETS, AND SUCCESS OF OUR PDP, CHRISTLIKENESS & EXCELLENCE IN OUR CALLING AND CRAFTSMANSHIP.

8. FIRST WEEK : BECOMING LIKE CHRIST

9. Romans 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will .

10. SECOND WEEK: EXPERIENCING FREEDOM IN CHRIST

11. Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

12. THIRD WEEK: FREE INDEED

13. John 8:31-32 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free ."

14. FOURTH WEEK:  VIRTUES OF GODLY WISDOM

15. James 3:13-17 13  Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.  14  But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth.  15  Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.

16. James 3:13-17 16  For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. 17  But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

17. TODAY’S TOPIC: FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

18. GALATIANS 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law .

19. THE MIND OF CHRIST IS A BY-PRODUCT OF THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

20. Romans 5:6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly .

21. The mind of Christ was controlled by the Spirit.When mind is controlled by the Spirit, the mind thinks and chooses the 9 fruit of the Spirit.

22. Luke 4:1 Jesus , full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the desert ,

23. Luke 1:15 for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even from birth .

24. Luke 10:21 At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure .

25. Zechariah 4:6 So he said to me, "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel : `Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty .

26. 1Samuel 10:6 The Spirit of the LORD will come upon you in power, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person .

27. Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth ."

28. Ephesians 5:18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit .

29. BE FILLED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT TO THINK AND CHOOSE THE 9 FRUIT.

30. 1 . T hink and choose love when people are unlovable and difficult

31. Matthew 5:43-44 " You have heard that it was said, `Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you ,

32. 2. Think and choose joy when in sufferings

33. Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice !

34. 1 Peter 4:13 But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed .

35. 3 . Think and choose peace when there are troubles 

36. John 16:33 " I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world ."

37. 4 . T hink and choose long-suffering ( patience ) when there are offences and in waiting

38. Proverbs 19:11 A man's wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook an offense .

39. Psalm 40:1 I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry .

40. 5. T hink and choose gentleness avoiding rudeness

41. 1 Peter 3:4 Instead , it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight .

42. 1 Peter 3:15 But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect ,

43. 6 . T hink and choose goodness not revenge

44. Romans 12:21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good .

45. 7 . T hink and choose faith when things are hard and difficult

46. Mark 9:23-24 "` If you can'?" said Jesus. "Everything is possible for him who believes." Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief !"

47. 8 . T hink and choose meekness not pride and arrogance

48. James 4:10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up .

49. 1 Peter 5:5-6 Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time .

50. 9. T hink and choose temperance ( self-control ) to focus to right things overcoming temptations

51. Proverbs 25:28 Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control .

52. Conclusion: DEVELOP A GOOD RELATIONSHIP AND COMPANIONSHIP WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT BY TALKING TO HIM EVERY HOUR. BE FILLED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT EVRY HOUR.
