Independence Day It is celebrated on the 15th of August each year ever since India got independence from the British rule in 1947 . When India got its independence, the public of India had chosen their first Prime Minister, Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru who had unfurled the threecolour National Flag at the Red Fort in the national capital, New Delhi for the first time. All the people rejoice this special day with great joy every year.
Republic Day The Indian Republic Day is celebrated every year on 26 January. ... It was on this day that India got its own constitution and became a Sovereign Democratic Republic . Indian Republic day is celebrated with great passion and enthusiasm throughout the length and breadth of the country . A great parade of the Indian Armed Forces is held at Rajpath , New Delhi This parade starts from the Vijay Chowk and concludes at India Gate. Indian Armed Forces which comprise the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air-force, demonstrate their weaponry and vigor to the general public. After the parade of the Armed Force, all the States of India display their Jhankis , exhibiting their culture and tradition under the theme of 'Unity in Diversity in India'. Folk dances and songs of India are also presented by the participants.
Gandhi Jayanti Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi is better known as Mahatma Gandhi. He is also known as the Father Of The Nation. He was a patriotic leader and led the country all through the Indian independence movement by following the way of non-violence. According to him, truth and non-violence are the only tools to win the fight for independence from British rule . He said “Be the change, you want to see in the world”.
