Inventory Management System (IMS) is an application which is helpful for business operations. Inventory management is a challenging problem area in supply chain management. Companies need to have inventories in warehouses in order to fulfill customer demand, meanwhile these inventories have holding costs and this is a frozen fund that can be lost. This system can be used to store the details of the inventory based on the sale details, generate sales and inventory reports periodically etc. Introduction

Problem Statement Our project can be solved critical solution: Real-time Data Accuracy Efficient Replenishment Improved Decision-Making Cost Reduction Competitive Advantage

Objective of IMS The primary objectives of our project smart Inventory Management System (IMS) The main objective of this system is to keep records of the complete inventory It support for inventory management helps you record and track material on the basis of both quantity and value It improve cash flow , visibility ,and decision making The project aims to establish a robust inventory control system that ensures optimal stock levels.

Scope of the Application Only one person is responsible in assigning the details or records It is security driven.   Go down can be added as per the requirement.

Analysis The feasibility study is an evaluation and analysis of the potential of a proposed project which based on extensive investigation and research to support the process of decision making. Technical feasibility Economic feasibility Operational feasibility Legal feasibility Schedule feasibility

Diagram Our System

System Overview of IMS An inventory management system (IMS) is a critical tool for businesses to efficiently track, manage, and control their inventory or stock of goods. Inventory Tracking Inventory classification Inventory Valuation Reorder point Safety stock

Benefit Analysis Our project helps optimize inventory levels, reducing holding costs. Savings could range from 10% to 30% of inventory value annually. Our project Labor Cost Reduction Automation of inventory management processes may lead to labor cost savings. Estimate around $2000 to $5000 per year.

Risk Analysis Inaccurate or incomplete data in the system can lead to incorrect inventory levels and orders. Implement data validation and cleansing procedures. Conduct thorough data migration and verification processes Employees may resist adopting new processes and technology, causing delays and decreased productivity

Software Requirement Inventory management system typically involves a combination of hardware and software components to effectively track, manage, and control your inventory. Here are the software requirements for an inventory management system: Database Management System (DBMS) MySQL Programming language Front-end : HTML,CSS Back-end : C#, Framework : Dot net Server : Local Server Web Application

Development Resources: Development Team Hardware : computer with Local sever and networking equipment Software : any integrated development environments (IDEs)

Funtional Specification Requirements: First user has to authenticate themselves by providing valid email and password. Otherwise they can’t access IMS . Component Design: Each component has a specific responsibility and interacts with other components to achieve the desired outcome. 1. User Catalog 2. Product Catalog 3. Party Catalog 4. Bank Catalog 5. Purchase Catalog 6. Sales Catalog

Data Design: An inventory control system is  a technology solution that manages and tracks a company's goods through the supply chain. .User .Purchas .Category .Details .Brand .Sale .Product. .Discount .Supplier .Bank Account .Customer .Payment .Bank

Additional Information Performance and Scalability : The system is expected to handle a high volume of traffic, so it is important to consider performance and scalability. Security : I t is important to implement security measures to protect the data. This may involve encrypting the data and using authentication and authorization mechanism.

Flow of the System: This document specifies the High Level Design for the Inventory Management System (IMS) . It will provide fast and accurate ways of storing, updating and retrieving data. 5 .2 System Architecture Design : Users interact with Presentation layer. Presentation layer sends request to Service Layer . Data A ccess Layer is responsible for communicating with the database. Presentation Layer Service Layer Data Access Layer Database

5.3.Technology Language: C# Framework: Asp . Net Web Application Tools: NHibernate Database: MS SQL Server Front End: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, J query

6 . Interface Design The interface design of an Inventory Management System (IMS) is crucial for ensuring efficient and user-friendly interactions. While specific design elements can vary based on the system's features, user needs, and the platform . Interface Design Navigation Dashboard Search and Filtering Product Information Alerts and Notifications Barcode Scanning Data Visualization

UAT: User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is a crucial phase in the development and implementation of any software system, including an inventory management system. Summary of Test Results:

Advantages: Inventory management made easy Ensuring order fulfilment Significant savings from stock control Better business negotiations Enhanced visibility Improved decision making

In conclusion, inventory management is a critical process for any business to help ensure that it has the right amount of inventory at the right time. It involves forecasting, ordering, receiving, storing, and tracking inventory levels and can have a major impact on the success or failure of a business. By integrating effective inventory processes and techniques, businesses can stay on top of their stock levels and order the right amount of inventory to meet customer demands. Conclusion
