Why I decided to focus on this topic
Start on Trailhead Focus on Admin Training My Trailhead Trailmix: Learn the Basics of Salesforce Focus on Projects and Superbadges Get to Ranger status (and brag about it on social media…I’ll talk about this later) Complete Modules, Projects, Superbadges and Trails specific to Admin Certification Build Your Admin Career on Salesforce Administrator Certification Attend a Salesforce Certification Days Webinar (at end you receive a discount code on exam) Salesforce Ben: Salesforce Certification Days: Free Preparation Webinars with Trailhead
Join Success Community Chatter Groups And don’t just join them and get a weekly digest on Saturday Nights--- BE ACTIVE IN THEM!!! These are just a few, but search in the community and find others that will help you on your journey. Trailhead Academy Certification Days ADM201 Study Group Update the Email Frequency to either Every Post or Daily Digest for now, you can always change it later Also, post in your local Success Community Group about any potential local study groups (more on this later)
Cert Prep Resources For when you are ready to schedule and take the exam! Almost everyone that posts about passing an Exam thanks one or both of these resources Focus on Force Great for Practice Exams Mike Wheeler Media Flashcard Apps – these are great for the types of questions asked, but be careful about accuracy Quizlet Cram
Always recommend starting with the Admin Certification This is the foundation for all other certifications, including Developer Certs Find your passion and work towards it! In these current times it is impossible for a person to know everything about Salesforce. Focus on a particular area of interest to advance your learnings and career Resources to help you find that passion Salesforce Career Path Different Salesforce Roles and related Certifications Choose Your Role Don’t forget to consider Tableau or MuleSoft as options They are both part of the #SalesforceOhana Recommended Order of Certifications
