Step by step instructions Trimmed the fish fillet and wash. Pat dry completely and cut into cube size pieces.
1 st marination Mix the fish cubes with half teaspoon ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, lemon juice,salt and oil. Keep it marinated for 10 minutes.
Make tandoori masala In a mixing bowl take yoghurt and mix with ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder,cumin powder, garam masala, coriander powder, lemon juice. Mix everything well. Pour little oil and whisk. This masala is known as Tandoori masala.
Mix fish pieces with tandoori masala Take the fish from 1 st marination and mix with this tandoori masala and keep refrigerated for 3 to 4 hours.
Threading the fish Iif using wooden sticks to thread the fish then presoaked them in water for 30 minutes. And if using iron sticks then thread the fish one by one keeping a short distance in between them. You can even use vegetables like onion and bell pepper cubes along with the fish to thread.
Preparation for baking Cover a baking tray with aluminum foil and place the Shewer. Brush some oil or butter over them. Place the baking tray in a Preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes.
Baked fish tikka After ten minutes remove the fish with baking tray and flip to other side. Brush oil again and bake further 5 minutes or till crisp golden.
Fish Tikka on tawa Heat a Tawa on gas top in high flame with 1 teaspoon oil for one minute. After that lower the flame to low. Discard excess marination from the fish and carefully place on the Tawa.
Cooking fish tikka on tawa Cook the fish pieces for 2 minutes then flip to another side and cook. Cook them for 6 to 7 minutes flipping. When the masala become dry and fish become crisp golden remove and serve.
