2. INTRODUCTION Visual aid used in teaching Consisting of a board covered with flannel with a series of cutouts . Pictures, diagrams, etc are sticked on it

3. Techniques of preparing flannel graph Plywood or cardboard sheet used to make a board Piece of flannel cloth is wrapped Appropriate size is 40*30cm for board. Cut pieces should be based on the message Sand paper,glue etc can be used for sticking purpose.

4. Techniques of using flannel graph Hang high enough to make it visual to everyone Arrange the cut pieces sequentialy Keep the audience at proper distance Place the rough side of cut pieces on the flannel board Give audience time to see and understand

5. Contd … Take off the pieces after explaining Don’t stand in front of flannel board Brief your presentation at end. Assemble the cut pieces carefully .

6. Advantages Interesting and attractive Easy to carry out in distant places. Durable and can be well preserved Not expensive Can be used at different situations.

7. Disadvantages Problem in drawing Problem to get appropriate board or fibrous materials Cut pieces may not properly stick.
