1. Important: It is being recommended that; entire following
step should be followed with full concentration under your
own risk.

2. Work Flow Diagram
Enable “Boot From CD” option.
Format Drives (With / without ‘C’
drive).
Partition Create.
Install Operating System.
Note: Following are the step as per WINDOWS
XP (SP-2) installation method.

3. Enable “Boot From CD” option.
Just after press Start button; Press DELETEand F2button
repeatedly (before system booting)
When the computer’s BIOS screen appears (Blue); use
only function key and activation key like Enter, Back
Space, Escape etc. Mouse will not use.
Select Advance Setup
Select 1

Bootable Device and press enter to configure.
Select your available CD / DVD drive from the list.
Same way change the 2

Bootable Device
Press F10and then press Enterto save the changes.
After the above steps the computer will automatically
restart with the boot option.
If the CD / DVD drive has a BootableCD/ DVD within it
press any key within 5 sec after open the screen for CD /

4. Format Drives (With / without ‘C’
drive)
Insert the Windows XP CD (SP -2) in the CD or DVD drive and
give Re-Start command.
Press any key within 5 sec for CD/ DVD booting.
Let the computer loading the system file from CD for Installing.
When “Welcome to Windows Setup” appears then press enter.
Press F8to agree the terms and conditions recommended by
Windows.
When it ask for whether “Repair the Existing Software or
Not” press Escape.
When the screen will show Drives with free space and used
space details then select the drive which you want to format and
press “D” and for confirmation press “L”(For all; follow same rule
one by one)
Note:Only at the time of “C Drive” deletion one additional step will

5. Partition Create
To partition; select the un-partitioned space and then
press “C” and then allocate the space for the primary
drive “C” and then press Enter.
Same way allocate the free space to the other Drive.
Note:The entire free space you could not use.
Approximately 8MBspace will be required for system
file storage.

6. Install Operating System
Select the drive where you want to install the Operating
System Software; and then press “Enter”.
When system ask for selecting format type; select
“Format The Partition Using NTFS File System
(Quick)” and press “Enter”.
Let the computer initialize the system programs.
The computer will restart after few minutes and screen is
asking to press any key to boot from CD; then ‘DO NOT
PRESS ANY KEY’.
Then XP Professional Setup Screen appear and press
“Next” for the setup tart.
Type the Computer Operator Name and Organization
Name and press ‘Enter’ on “Next”.
Put the SERIAL KEY (25 digit alpha-numaric) and then

If you want to put Opening Passwordthen put it other-
wise press “Enter” on “Next”.
Select “Typical Setting” on Network Setting Screen and
then press “Enter” on “Next”.
Put the “Work Group”if the computer will join in a pre
created network press “Enter” on “Next”.
The computer will restart after few minutes and screen is
asking to press any key to boot from CD; then ‘DO NOT
PRESS ANY KEY’.
On the next screen under “Microsoft Windows” press
“Enter” on “Next” to continue.
On security screen select “NOT RIGHT NOW” and press
“Enter” on “Next”.
For network connection screen click on “Local Area
Network” if you have already other wise click on “Skip”

8. When the IP ADDRESS screen appear then click o “SKIP”.
On the screen of Microsoft Registration click on “Not This
Time”.
Type the Users Name (Maximum 5 No) and press “Enter”
on “Next” to continue.
Click on “Finish”.
After formatting the drive you need to format the Drive
once again as “Quick Mode” (5-6 Sec) by click on the drive
and then select “Quick Format” and then press enter to
use.
Note:The entire format time will be depended on computer
speed only.
