Froglet

This is a picture book by an 11 year old about a frog that had a craving for an unusual delicacy.

2. Froglet is an old frog. He has a bright red nose and loves
food. He dreams of pickled flies, but the problem is they are
not easy to find.

3. Froglet went and sat on his thinking log.

4. I’ll have to
go
shopping.
There, he had an idea.

5. Froggy Mart
He tried Froggy Mart but they only had smoked
worms. Froglet tried a smoked worm.
‘’Yuck, are you trying to poison me?”
‘’No”, said the shopkeeper.
Yuck!
No!

6. Shop ‘til u Hop
He tried Shop ‘til u Hop. They only had poached
dung beetles. Froglet tried a dung beetle.
‘’Yuck, are you trying to poison me?”
‘’No”, said the shopkeeper.
Big Sale!!!
Yuck !
No !

7. Croak Down
He tried Croak Down but they only had preserved
termites. Froglet tried a preserved termite.
‘’Yuck, are you trying to poison me?”
‘’No”, said the shopkeeper.
Yuck !
No!

8. Grubs For Less
He tried Grubs For Less but they only had grilled grubs.
Froglet tried a grilled grub.
‘’Yuck are you trying to poison me?”
‘’No”, said the shopkeeper.
Yuck !
No!

9. Hop ‘N’ Save
He tried Hop ‘N’ Save but they only had roasted huhu
bugs.
Froglet tried a roasted huhu bug.
‘’Yuck, are you trying to poison me?”
‘’No”, said the shopkeeper.
Yuck !
No!

10. “I’m so
hungry.
Where
else can
I go?’’
Tired of shopping Froglet went and sat on his thinking log.

11. “I know.”

12. A hungry Froglet hopped home he knew what
he wanted.

13. “Yum, Yum, Yum I love this food,” croaked Froglet.

14. Flies au naturel.

15. Taylar Hickmott is 11 years old.
Her hobbies are art and dance.
Her favourite food is sushi.
She enjoys reading especially
vampire and horror stories.
She is on the planning group at
school that is organising a garden
for the Tui garden competition.
She attends Meeanee School in
Napier, NZ.
