Vocabulary words 1. control - to have power over. 2. pumps - to move from one place to another. 3. helps- to give assistance or support to. 4. cleanse - to remove. 5. stores - a supply of something kept for use. 6. break down- to divide into parts. 7. filters – to separate unwanted material . 8. absorbs - to take in or soak up. 9. Release – to set free.

Internal Organs are the body parts that cannot be seen and touched such as the brain, heart, lungs, liver, stomach, kidneys, small intestine and large intestine.

1. Brain Our brain is in our head and protected by the skull. Control center of our body.

2. Heart Is located on the left side of chest. It is about the size of your fist. Pumps blood around the body.

3. Lungs We have two lungs in the chest cavity which are protected by the ribcage. Helps for breathing process.

4. Liver - Liver is our body’s largest gland. Cleanse toxins out of the blood.

5. Stomach - Your stomach is located in the upper left part of your abdomen Stores and break down food.

6. Kidneys They lie in the lower abdomen and kidneys are two bean shaped organs. Filters waste from the blood.

7. Small intestine Absorbs most of the nutrients.

8. Large intestine Release of any waste products.
