1. PRESENTATION ON GANDIKOTA RESERVOIR

2. INTRODUCTION: The Gandikota Reservoir was constructed across Penna River with Capacity of 26.85 TMC at FRL + 212.000 near Kondapuram (M), Kadapa District . This Reservoir is located 25 KM from Kondapuram village,Kadapa District. OBJECTIVE: to draw 38 TMC of flood water of Krishna River in 30 days For providing Irrigation facilities to an Ayacut 2.60 lakh acres in Kadapa , Chittoor and Nellore districts. For providing drinking water to a population of 10 Lakhs in Villages and towns enroute the canal.

3. BRIEF The Gandikota dam construction was started in the year 2004-2005 and completed in all respects in the year 2012-2013. ISSUES Proposals submitted to the Government to issue BRO for an amount of Rs.157.38 Cr (Rupees One Hundred Fifty Seven Crores Thirty Eight Lakhs Only) for payment of R&R package to the balance PDFs of 07 Villages in Phase-II&III ie ., Thallaproddatur , Chamalur , Yerragudi , P.Ananthapuram , Yetur , Regadipalli & K.Sugumanchipalli Villages, vide the District Collector, YSR District, Ref.No.C /R&R/37/2019, dated:28.08.2021. Minutes of the PADA review meeting held on 19.04.2021 chaired by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, A.P and a committee has been formed for finalize the Paidipalem PDFs R&R package on par with the Gandikota Reservoir as per the G.O.Rt.No.4, dated:04.01.2017 @Rs.3.75 Lakhs per R&R opted PDFs and @Rs.6.75 Lakh per OTS opted PDFs. (Action : Secretary to Government, WRD, ENC, WRD, Special Commissioner, R&R and District Collector, YSR District) Proposals submitted to the Government for sanction of R&R package to the balance 1179 PDFs in Phase-I, 14 Villages for an amount of Rs.46.77 Crores (Rupees Forty Six Crores Seventy Seven Lakhs Only) , vide the District Collector, YSR District, Ref.No.C /R&R/106/2017, Dt:16.12.2020. Proposals submitted to the Government for sanction of Hon’ble CM Assurance to the 9096 PDFs of Phase-I, 14 Villages for an amount of Rs. 295.62 Cr (Rupees Two Hundred Ninety Five Crores Sixty Two Lakhs Only) vide the District Collector, YSR District, Ref.No.C /R&R /37/2019, Dated:21.07.2020.
