HELLO! I am Racma Jamaica A. Benito. I am here to discuss the Chapter 4, Measurement of Length, Mass and Volume. 2
“life is a math equation. I n order to gain the most, you have to know how to convert negatives into positives”. - Anonymous 3
LENGTH T he measurement or extent of something from end to end, along its greatest dimension. 4
MASS Simply a measure of the amount of matter that an object contains. 5
VOLUME B asically, is the amount of space occupied by a sample of a given matter. 6
UNIT TABLE LENGTH MASS VOLUME 1 m = 100 cm 1 kg = 1000 g 1 L = 1000 mL 1 km = 1000 cm 7
HELLO! I am Abdul Haqq D. Marohombsar. I am here to give some examples regarding the measurements as discussed earlier. 8
Examples; 9 Example 3 with solution H ow many litres are in 2500 millilitres? 1 L = 1000 mL; 2500 divided by 1000 = 2 ½ L Example 1 with solution H ow many meters are in 4 kilometres? 1 km = 1000 m; so, 4 km = 4 multiplied to 1000 = 4000 m Example 2 with solution H ow many centimetres are in ½ meter? S ince 1 m = 100 cm, then ½ m = ½ multiplied to 100 = 50 cm
Example; 10 Example 4 with solution How many grams are in 3 ¼ kg? 1 kg = 1000 g; 3 ¼ kg = 3 multiplied to 1000 = 3250 g
