Glory to God WHY: 1) “to keep you from falling ” 2) “to present you faultless ” a) “before the presence of His glory ” b) “with exceeding joy ”

Notice God doesn’t “help” us stand – He “makes” us stand “Is it conceivable that in spite of all this, [Christians] may still fall away and be lost? Is it possible for God to predestine us to holiness, and yet we do not become holy? Can He adopt us as children and then disown us? Can He give us a guarantee of salvation and then renege on His promise? Is the human will so strong as to overcome divine power? Surely not! What more does God need to say to assure us that He will uphold us to the end?” - David Clotfelter

Glory to God WHO: “to the only wise God…” Colossians 2:3 in Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I Corinthians 1:30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—

Revelation 4:10- 11   “The four and twenty elders fall down before Him that sat on the throne, and worship Him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created.”

Revelation 5:12 Revelation 5:12 saying with a loud voice: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!”

Glory to God WHO: “to the only wise God our Savior ” Ephesians 1:3- 6 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4 According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:

Glory to God WHO: “to the only wise God our Savior ” Ephesians 1:3- 6 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself , according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 t o the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved .”

Ephesians 1:3- 6 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4 According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself , according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 t o the praise of the g lory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved.”

Ephesians 3:20- 21   “Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 u nto H im be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen .”

I Timothy 1: 17 “Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen .”

Glory to God WHAT: 1) “be glory ” 2) “majesty ” 3) “dominion ” 4) “power”

“Be glory ...” Psalm 107:8 Oh , that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness , and for His wonderful works to the children of men!

“ Glory is excellency discovered with praise and approbation, and notes that high honor and esteem that is due to Christ.” Thomas Manton

“Majesty ...” Hebrews 1: 3 " And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high"

One is though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” Albert Einstein (1879-1955) “There are two ways to live your life:

“Dominion…” Psalm 66:7 " He rules by His might forever; His eyes keep watch on the nations ; let not the rebellious exalt themselves .”

“authority…” Authority is the right to impose obligation.

Psalm 2 Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? 2 The kings of the earth set them-selves , and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, 3 “Let us break their bonds in pieces and cast away their cords from us.” 4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall hold them in derision. 5 Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and distress them in His deep displeasure: 6 “Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion.” 7 “I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, today I have begotten You.

Psalm 2 8 Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession. 9 You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ ” 10 Now therefore, be wise, O kings; be instructed, you judges of the earth. 11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. 12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

Glory to God WHEN: “both now and forever ”

“When I heard it said that the Lord would keep His people right to the end, —that Christ had said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any pluck Charles Spurgeon them out of My hand,” I must confess that the doctrine of the final preservation of the saints was a bait that my soul could not resist. I thought it was a sort of life insurance—

— an insurance of my character, an insurance of my soul, an insurance of my eternal destiny. I knew that I could not keep myself, but if Christ promised to keep me, then I should be safe for ever; and I longed and prayed to find Christ, because I knew that, if I found Him, He would not give me a temporary and trumpery salvation, such as some preach, but eternal life which could never be lost, the living and incorruptible seed which liveth and abideth for ever, for no one and nothing “shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ”

Glory to God “ Amen .” Psalms 72: 19 “And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.”
