1. Lesson 1: I Can Protect Myself Life is the most important gift of God. We should preserve, and protect life. A person should be brave enough and have the courage to defend and protect oneself.

2. Natural Calamities -like typhoon, floods, volcanic eruption, tsunami, and earthquakes often visit our country.

3. Common Accidents - accidents that result to injury and some loss of life and property happen due to carelessness.

4. Examples: Poisoning 5. animal bites Burns 6. cuts Fire 7. vehicular accidents Falls

5. - Both natural calamities and vehicular accidents may claim many lives.

6. - These could have been prevented if we are prepared and if we observe safety measures.

7. -We should have the knowledge and awareness of the things happening around us so we can protect ourselves in times of danger.

8. What to do when there is a calamity: -We should always listen to the radio or watch television especially when there is typhoon, earthquake, or volcanic eruption.
