KEEPING UP WITH CHANGES

All boys and girls pass through a period when changes occur physically, emotionally, socially and mentally. Being able to grow normally in spite of the changes is an achievement in itself. This is called? ADOLESCENCE PERIOD

Growing up is a phase experienced by all living things and it is one of the most wonderful time in one’s life. Each can grow to the fullest within himself/herself.

What is going on with my body?

Bodily changes normally occurs between the ages of 10 to 13 for girls and 12 to 15 years old. At this stage called puberty where the reproductive system becomes active. PHYSICAL CHANGES

PHYSICAL CHANGES IN Girls 1. Girls start puberty around the age of 10 or 11. The pituitary gland releases hormones that tell the ovaries to start producing estrogen and progesterone.

PHYSICAL CHANGES IN Girls 2. Breast become fuller; hips broaden and body fats accumulates in thighs and chest. These fats make a woman’s body soft to the touch. 3. Legs develop curves.
