6. EXAMPLE 1: Round off 9.14 to the nearest whole number. Solution: 9.14 9 is the whole number to be rounded off 1 is nearest to 9(whole number), but it is less than 5, so round down 1 to zero then ignore 6. Maintain 9 which is the whole number. 9

7. EXAMPLE 2: Round off 25.56 to the nearest tenths Solution: 25.56 5 is the tenths to be rounded off 6 is the nearest 5(tenths), and 6 is greater than 5 so round up 5 to then ignore 6 or rest of the digit 25.6
