WHEN YOU READ A STORY OR AN ARTICLE , YOU ARE ASKED TO CITE EVIDENCE OF THE TEXT TO TEST WHETHER YOU UNDERSTAND DETAILS IN WHAT YOU READ. THIS IS CALLED TEXT EVIDENCE .
It is information that supports or proves your claims or answers to the questions about what you read. . TEXT EVIDENCE !
It is also taken word for word exactly as it is written. TEXT EVIDENCE !
We use quotation marks “..” around the evidence whenever we use words directly from the selection read. TEXT EVIDENCE !

V- VIEW OF THE AUTHOR It provides the author’s view on the topic.
