Narrative Report:
In our continuous effort to provide outstanding educational opportunities, our school has
launched a groundbreaking initiative with the RACE Reading Program, a thoughtfully designed, all-
encompassing school-wide program aimed at boosting our students' reading abilities. This innovative
approach is enhanced by the introduction of customized reading interventions, specifically
developed to address the individual needs, strengths, and learning preferences of each student. This
ensures that every child receives the focused support they need to tackle their unique reading
challenges. By seamlessly combining the RACE Reading Program with personalized interventions,
our goal is to create an engaging and inclusive educational environment that not only improves our
students' reading skills but also fosters their intellectual curiosity, creativity, and passion for
learning, ultimately helping them succeed academically, socially, and personally.

NARRATIVE COMPARISON BETWEEN FIRST QUARTER AND SECOND QUARTER RESULTS IN READING GST:

Comparison of first quarter and pretest data reveals consistent performance levels for most
Grade 7 learners. Five students remained "At Their Level," while those categorized as "2 Levels
Down" showed stability within their respective Independent and Instructional subgroups, with only
one student persistently demonstrating frustration. Similarly, the "3 Levels Down" group exhibited
consistency, with four students remaining Independent and eight in the Instructional category, but a
significant 25 students requiring additional intervention to address persistent frustration and improve
understanding and engagement with the material. Overall, while many students maintained their
performance levels, the substantial number of students in the "Frustration" category highlights the
need for targeted support and tailored interventions to enhance learning outcomes.

The Grade 8 learners' progress across the second and third quarters reveals a mixed picture.
The same 5 learners (Espanola, Simon, Tinaco, Reese, Guibao, Jewelle, Planar, Hansheen, and
Garcia, Cresha Mae) consistently performed at their level, demonstrating academic strength.
However, the 2 levels down category saw some learners transitioning between independent and
instructional support, indicating varying degrees of progress. Notably, the 3 levels down category
witnessed significant changes, with some learners moving out of frustration and into instructional or
independent support, suggesting improved academic performance. Despite this progress, many
learners remain in the 3 levels down category, underscoring the need for sustained support and
targeted interventions to ensure all learners catch up with their peers.
