UNLOCKING OF TERMS: Baroque - from the portoguese word barroco (an irregular shaped pearl or stone). Baroque Style - a style of artistic expression characterized by extravagant forms and forceful dynamic actions. Collage - picture with pieces stuck in surface: a picture made by striking cloth, pieces of paper, photographs, and other objectives onto a surface.

DISCUSSION

Collage Making The artistry of the early Filipinos was expressed through carving & painting designs in their churches. Materials: bond papers, paste, permanent marker Procedure: 1.Group yourselves into 3 . 2.Find the different Philippine churches with Baroque designs. 3.Collect pictures, paste them . 4.Make an album out of it on the bond paper.

A Spanish painter who was the leading artist in the court of King Philip IV & one of the most important painters of the Spanish Golden Age.

ASSIGNMENT: 1.Find a picture of your own that portrays happiness in your life or a memorable event in your life, (e.g. hugging your parents, eating your birthday cake, your with your best friend, etc.) 2.Paint your picture on the illustration board adding exaggerated emotions to it. 3.Apply colors on drawing giving emphasis on light & dark colors to your work.
