Present Continuous No diálogo da atividade anterior, ouvimos Mike e Tina descrevendo as fotos que seus amigos postaram no Instagram. Vamos relembrar o que cada amigo estava fazendo no momento em que a foto foi tirada: Foco no conteúdo Nesses exemplos, Mike e Tina estão descrevendo o que seus amigos estão fazendo naquele momento, com o uso do present continuous , ou seja, o present continuous é usado para referirmo-nos a ações em progresso.  Sarah: "She’s at a grocery store picking out fresh fruits and veggies." Mark:  "He’s at a restaurant eating what looks like an amazing plate of pasta." Emily: "She’s at a park having a picnic with her family." CONTINUA © Flaticon.com

Para usarmos o  present continuous , precisamos utilizar o verbo be adequado para cada sujeito e o verbo principal com a terminação - ing .  Vamos analisar nos exemplos: Foco no conteúdo Sarah: "She’ s ( is ) at a grocery store pick ing out fresh fruits and veggies." Mark:  "He’ s ( is ) at a restaurant eat ing what looks like an amazing plate of pasta." Emily: "She’ s ( is ) at a park hav ing a picnic with her family." CONTINUA © Flaticon.com

Como vimos, ao usar o present continuous , o verbo be  deve concordar com o sujeito, ou com o subject pronoun . Vamos relembrar. Subject pronouns : I, you, he, she, it, we, they.
