* The university has 59 training programs (TP) in which: 14Undergraduate
programs and 45 Postgraduate programs;
* In 2022, the university completed external evaluation for 3 programs:
Medical degree, Pharmacy Bachelor’s degree and Public Health, with a
percentage of achieving the required criteria ranging from 94-96%.

9. FULFILLING THE SOCIETY’S DEMANDS
•TheCentreofCollaboratingandDevelopingEducationorganizeshort-term
educationalprograms.Currently,HPMUhasbuiltprogramsandopenclassesfor
almost100short-termcoursesandconstanteducationcourses,whichareimproved

•HaiphongUniversityofMedicineandPharmacyisalevel-3financially
autonomousunit,responsibleforself-fundingaportionofitsregular
expenses.
•Startingfrom2022,theuniversitywillnolongerreceiveregular,non-
regular,andbasicinvestmentbudgetfromtheState.
•Since2016,theuniversityhasmaintainedanadditionalincome
coefficientof1.0foritsemployeescomparedtothebasicsalary.

•TheCOVID-19outbreakhastriggeredtheparticipationof7690volunteers,
includingfacultymembersandstudents,tojointheanti-pandemiceffortsin
provincesandcitiessuchasHaiphong,Hanoi,Bacgiang,HồChíMinhCity,
Binhduong,andTayninh.
•Theuniversityhasalwaysmaintainedinternalsolidarity,securityandorder,and

HAIPHONG UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
•The University of Medicine and Pharmacy Haiphong Hospital was
established on April 4th, 2007, under Decision No. 1247/QD-BYT of
the Ministry of Health.
•Up to now, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Haiphong
Hospital is a public healthcare facility, self-funded group 2 (fully self-
funding all regular operating expenses), with 295 beds. It has
gradually stabilized, established a reputation, and a brand name
among the people.

PHARMACEUTICALS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT AND ADMINISTRATION
•Ensuring sufficient supply of drugs for neonatal patients; supplying
medical materials, chemicals, and Covid-19 testing reagents. Receiving,
storing, and dispensing Covid-19 and other vaccines.
•Conducting bidding and supplying machinery, equipment, and
consumables for medical use. Maintaining and repairing machinery and
equipment according to schedule.
•Managing, investing in construction, renovation, repair, and maintenance
of facilities, infrastructure, and timely procurement of equipment.
•Performing maintenance and ensuring proper operation of electrical
equipment, water supply and drainage systems, fire prevention and
fighting systems, elevators, air conditioning, communication systems,
medical gas, occupational safety, and environmental sanitation.
