In times of darkness, people have always kindled light—to remove the gloom of ignorance, to chase
away the clouds of doubt, and to overcome the fear of oppression. We, too, come together to kindle
the light at Hanukkah: the symbol of our prayers for peace, for hope, for freedom, and for blessings
for ourselves and for the entire world.

Barukh atah Adonai, Eloheinu, melekh ha'olam
Blessed are You, our Eternal G*d, Ruler of the universe,
Blessing for Hanukkah

she'asah nisim la'avoteinu bayamim haheim baziman hazeh. (Amein)
who made miracles for our ancestors in those days at this season.
