Digitalization and innovation Baldha Harshil 6 th semester Bsc .( Hons .)Agriculture Digital technologies have the potential to boost more inclusive and sustainable growth by spurring innovation, generating efficiencies and improving services. They are also an important tool in helping countries to confront and recover from the COVID19 pandemic that has disrupted economies and societies globally. The OECD has been supporting the G20’s Digital agenda to help countries harness the benefits of the digital transformation, including job creation and business continuity, and access to critical health and education services, while addressing the potential challenges it may bring, by leveraging our cross-cutting and evidence-based analysis, and notably the OECD’s ongoing Going Digital project . However, while this concept is being labelled in the literature it is also often used indistinctively. To avoid misconceptions, we propose to clarify the concept by providing an overview of the existing theory. This research is one of the first attempts to define the “digitalization” term, and to make a distinction between similar ones. The authors have conducted a systematic review of the existing literature, by identifying and synthesizing the existing body of knowledge. While going digital, firms are expecting to enhance their competitive advantage by offering services throughout virtual channels and operationalize its operations management . …Enhanced data collection . ...Stronger resource management. ...Data-driven customer insights. ...A better customer experience. ...Encourages digital culture (with improved collaboration) ...Increased profits. ...Increased agility. ...Improved productivity. In conclusion: digitization is digitization. Period.
