2. It is defined as “ a group of persons who share a common objectives determined by community needs and toward the achievement of which each member of the team contributes in accordance with her/his competence and skills, and respecting the functions of the other.”

3. CONCEPT OF HEALTH TEAM Healthcare is a team effort. Each member of the team plays a vital role, and is inter-dependent on other team members for various aspects of patient care. Some team members help in diagnosis of disease, some others are experts in various aspects of treating or attending to patients' physical and emotional needs. The most important member of the team is the PATIENT, without whom there would be no team in the first place!
