Peak age : 3-10yr Can occur in children less than 3yr or children or more than 10yr old It can rarely occur in adults but can cause chronic and severe disease. More common in males (1.5 times)

Etiopathogenesis

HLA-B34 and HLA-DRB1 01 alleles linked to increased risk of HSP nephritis. Patients with Familial mediterian fever , Heriditary periodic fever syndrome & comlement dficiency has increased risk of HSP due to immune dysregulation .

CLIINICAL FETURES When infection occurs after that 1-3 weeks later , there is onset of HSP than there will be onset of a classic tetrad of C/F Skin involvement (90-100%) Renal involvement(30%) Joint involvement(75%) GIT involvement(80%)
