Objectives
To determine the blood sugar level
To prevent complications
to prevent hyperglycemia or hypoglycemia
For knowing the appropriate level of glucose level

DIABETES MELLITUS A SILENT KILLER!!!

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder which
results in increased
blood sugar level characterized by metabolic,
hormonal changes
which is manifested by polyuria, polydipsia and
polyphagia

Incidence

What is Hgt????
HGT monitoring(HEMO GLUCOSE TEST) is a way of testing the
concentration of glucose in the blood(glycemia) partially important
in diabetic management,a blood glucose test is typically
performed bypiercingthe skin ,typically on the finger to draw blood
to a chemicallyactivedisposable test strip.thistest is usually referred
as CAPILLARYBLOOD GLUCOSE TEST.

Types of lancet and
pen holder

•Use a branded meter instead of a generic one
•Learn the ins and outs of your meters
•Buy test strips made for your specific meter
•Make sure there’s enough blood to fill the landing
section of each strip
•Wash your hands before using the meter
•Use the device on the sides of your fingers, not on
the fingertips
•Know your goal numbers
•Keep your meter out of the freezing cold or extreme
heat.
Special tips on hgtmonitoring

Dia-VIt Trackeris ourProof of Concept
wearable device developed to
showcase our technology .
It uses our proprietary non-invasive
technology to measure blood glucose
without the need for finger pricking
Suitable for Type 1 and Type 2
diabetics, sugar BEAT is a non-
invasive, affordable and flexible
glucose monitoring system.
Combining patented patch
technology with a rechargeable
transmitter, sugar BEAT provides
tailored monitoring for better
glucose level management
NEW WAYS FOR
MONITORING

CGM systems usually consist of a glucose sensor, a
transmitter, and a small external monitor to view your
glucose levels.
The CGM monitor or insulin pump is small, discreet, and
easy-to-wear. It can be attached to your belt, hidden in
your pocket, or placed under your clothing.
CONTINUOUS GLUCOSE MONITORING…

THINGS THAT AFFECT YOUR GLUCOSE MONITORING
Wash your hands using warm water
Be sure your hands are dry.
Before poking, “milk” your finger by rubbing from the base of your
finger to the fingertip.
Never poke the pad or tip of your fingers
Always rotate your fingers and hands
Do not clean your finger with an alcohol swab.
Make sure the drop of blood is large enough
Check the expiry date on the strips
Store your strips properly
Make sure that you do not touch the strips
Remove the first drop of blood.
