NEW WAYS FOR
MONITORING
CGM systems usually consist of a glucose sensor, a
transmitter, and a small external monitor to view your
glucose levels.
The CGM monitor or insulin pump is small, discreet, and
easy-to-wear. It can be attached to your belt, hidden in
your pocket, or placed under your clothing.
CONTINUOUS GLUCOSE MONITORING…
THINGS THAT AFFECT YOUR GLUCOSE MONITORING
Wash your hands using warm water
Be sure your hands are dry.
Before poking, “milk” your finger by rubbing from the base of your
finger to the fingertip.
Never poke the pad or tip of your fingers
Always rotate your fingers and hands
Do not clean your finger with an alcohol swab.
Make sure the drop of blood is large enough
Check the expiry date on the strips
Store your strips properly
Make sure that you do not touch the strips
Remove the first drop of blood.
