What is HILOT? It is the traditional massage using the bare hands and the use of coconut oil and banana leaves. HILOT is just a massage. It is a holistic art and science of healing of the Filipino people. It encompasses a wide variety of techniques beyond the treatment of stressed muscles.

What is the purpose of hilot wellness massage? ..... for relaxation

WELLNESS - is the integration of mind, body and emotion. THE FIVE HILOT STROKES: HAGOD - are long deep strokes usually used for the extremities and the back. To distribute oil, calm the muscle, beginning/transitional or finishing stroke. HAPLOS - short light strokes. To distribute evenly. To soften the muscle tissue. PINDOT- one finger press. Use to stimulate or massage small areas of muscles which attached to the bone especially joints. PISIL - two or more finger press. To stimulate or massage small muscles and the insertions. PIGA - grasping with the hand. Use to calm and relax the big and wide muscles.
