SEJARAH Preface Introduction Analysis Conclusion 02 03 04 01 Catatan sejarah tertua hypnosis diketahui berasal dari Ebers Papyrus yang menjelaskan teori dan praktek pengobatan bangsa mesir kuno pada tahun 1552 SM. Dalam Ebers Papyrus diceritakan di sebuah kuil yang dinamakan “ Kuil Tidur ”, para pendeta megobati pasiennya dengan cara menempelkan tanggannya di kepala pasien sambal mengucapkan sugesti untuk penyembuhan . Para pendeta dipercayai memiliki kekuatan magis oleh masyarakat .

Preface 01 Kata “hypnosis” pertama kali diperkenalkan oleh james Braid, seorang dokter di Inggris antara tahun 1795 – 1860. sebelum masa James Braid, hypnosis dikenal dengan nama Mesmerism atau Magnetism. Di Indonesia, hypnosis disebut dengan hipnotis , hipnotisme atau hypnosis. Hypnosis berasal dari kata “ hypnos ” yang merupakan dewa tidur orang yunani . Dan hypnosis telah dipelajari secara ilmiah lebih dari 200 tahun . Definisi dari hypnosis adalah suatu kondisi yang menyerupai tidur yang dapat secara sengaja dilakukan kepada seseorang , dimana seseorang yang dihipnotis bisa menjawab pertanyaan yang diajukan , serta menerima sugesti dengan tanpa perlawanan .
