Definition Perspective is the way of observing and understanding human behavior how and why they do so.

Historical perspectives and their explainations Importance of environmental factor on patient. It was pioneered by Florence Nightingale Her concentration was to understand how the physical environment and social interactions affect patients psychological state.

Behaviorism and nursing It was popularized by B.F Skinner. He focused on observable behaviors and their environmental determinants .

3 . Humanistic psychology It was spearheaded by figures like Carl Rogers and Abraham Maslow. It promote patients centered care approaches that prioritize empathy, understanding and holistic well-being .

4. Cognitive revolution Cognitive revolution in nursing and midwifery refers to a paradigm shift in these fields towards a greater emphasis on cognitive processes. It focuses in study of mental processes including how people perceive , remember, learn, solve problems and make decision.

5. Psychodynamic approaches It was pioneered by Sigmund Freud. It was emphasize the role of unconscious processes and early life experiences in shaping behavior and personality.

6. Contemporary integration It involves collaboration and coordination of care between nurses and midwives to provide comprehensive and holistic healthcare services to women and newborns.
