DEFINITION Hindu-Arabic number is a number system that consists of numbers 0-9

THE ORIGIN Arabic numerals originally came from India, form is a system originally developed by a number Brahmi Indian mathematician named al- Binuri around the year 300 BC. Brahmi numerals are not familiar with the number "0", the number 10, 20, 30, 100, 1000, etc.. Figures Brahmi inscriptions found in caves and temples in the area near poona , Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh.

Figures Brahmi and evolved into a number of india ( gwallor ) then became the number- Dewanagari Sanskrit.

Evolution of Hindu-Arabic Numerals

The reason they are more commonly known as "Arabic numerals" in Europe and the Americas is that they were introduced to Europe in the 10th century by Arabs of North Africa, who were then using the digits from Libya to Morocco.
