6. Activity 1: Solve the given Sodoku puzzle. Sudoku is a number-placement puzzle. The objective is to fill a 9X9 grid with digits so that each column, each row, and each of the nine 3X3 sub grids that compose the grid (also called “boxes”, “blocks”, or “regions”) contain all the digits from 1 to 9 Acitivity 2: To represent the product of decimal numbers such as ( i ) 0.7 x 0.3 (ii) 0.5 x 0.5 on a square sheet. Learning Objective: To understand the multiplication of decimal numbers.

7. Pre- requisits : Knowledge of fractions. Materials Required: Sketch pens, square paper, pencil and ruler. Procedure: Take a square sheet of paper. Divide this square into 10 equal parts drawing horizontal lines as shown in Fig. 1(a). Each parts represent 1/10. Shade 7 parts out of 10 so as to represent 0.7 as in Fig. 1(b). Now draw 9 vertical on the same paper at equal distances. Shade three vertical parts. The double shaded portion represents the product 0.3 x 0.7.

8. Follow the above steps to represent the product 0.5 x 0.5 using another square sheet. Activity 3: Supermarket sale In the supermarket there are 5 shopkeepers A, B, C,D, and E, if shopkeeper A sells his 2/3 of products in a day, B sells 3/7 of products, C sells 4/5 of products in a day, D sells 5/6 of products in a day and E sells 7/8 of products in a day, who sells more products in a day?
