definition Home Health Care is the provision of medically related professional services and equipment to individuals and their families at their place of residence for the purpose of promoting , maintaining, or restoring health or of minimizing the effects of illness and disability . Home health care is a wide range of health care services that can be given in home for an illness or injury. Home health care is usually less expensive, more convenient, and just as effective as care one gets in a hospital or skilled nursing facility (SNF).
