The HotPotatoes test set consists of six different program m s . Five are the so called basic test tools and one tool, the Masher, combines the different tests to a test series or test unit. Using it you can create interactive multiple-choice, short-answer, jumbled-sentence, crossword, matching - ordering and gap-fill exercises for the World Wide Web. Hot Potatoes is free of charge for those working for publicly-funded non-profit-making educational institutions, who make their pages available on the web.
Not only can you create traditional assessments, but you also have the opportunity to include crosswords and jumble puzzles. If you want to keep the "Free" feature for educators intact, you have to be able to do without the Masher program. Masher allows you to combine the various exercises together to form a cohesive unit.
