INTRO OF SIR HENRY BASKERVILLE Introduction Sir Henry Baskerville is one of the main characters in the novel. He is the heir to the Baskerville estate after the mysterious death of Sir Charles Baskerville. His role is very important because the whole mystery revolves around protecting him from the family curse.

CHARACTER BACKGROUND Character Background Sir Henry has been living in Canada before coming to England. He is described as young, strong, and energetic. Though he is brave, he is also new to the dangers surrounding Baskerville Hall.

INTRO OF THE CHAPTER Introduction In this chapter, we first meet Sir Henry Baskerville, the new heir to the Baskerville estate. He visits Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson in London. The mystery begins to grow around him.

MAIN EVENTS Main Events Sir Henry’s Visit Sir Henry arrives at 221B Baker Street. He meets Holmes and Watson for the first time. He looks strong, bold, and full of life. The Anonymous Letter Sir Henry has received a strange warning letter. The letter tells him to stay away from the moor. The words are cut out from a newspaper. The Missing Boot Sir Henry notices one of his boots is missing from the hotel. This seems strange and suspicious.

THEMES OF THE CHAPTER Themes in the Chapter Mystery – strange events surround Sir Henry. Danger – someone clearly wants to harm him. Suspense – the reader feels curiosity and fear for what will happen next

Conclusion Conclusion Chapter 4 is very important because it connects Sir Henry with the curse of the Baskervilles. It sets the stage for the adventure on the moor. From this point on, Holmes and Watson know they must protect Sir Henry.
