Principle: Piezoelectric Effect Piezoelectricity is the electric charge that accumulates in certain solid materials (such as crystals, certain ceramics, and biological matter such as bone, DNA and various proteins) in response to applied mechanical stress. The piezoelectric effect is understood as the linear electromechanical interaction between the mechanical and the electrical state in crystalline materials with no inversion symmetry. The piezoelectric effect is a reversible process in that materials exhibiting the direct piezoelectric effect (the internal generation of electrical charge resulting from an applied mechanical force) also exhibit the reverse piezoelectric effect (the internal generation of a mechanical strain resulting from an applied electrical field). For example, lead zirconate titanate crystals will generate measurable piezoelectricity when their static structure is deformed by about 0.1% of the original dimension. Conversely, those same crystals will change about 0.1% of their static dimension when an external electric field is applied to the material. The inverse piezoelectric effect is used in production of ultrasonic sound waves. All rights reserved by Kasetsart Energy and Technology Management Center | 2016 3
How KPOS works? When the electric field flows from the outside, tourmaline (Tourmaline) inside ULTRA compound generates a "reverse piezoelectric effect" is about to be stretched or contracted in accordance with the direction of the electric field. How KPOS works? However, within the compound, Powder particles are dispersed in a state in which the polymer, because it is cured when the solid-state Phase is not a liquid polymer of the state that is bound to avoid free movement of Powder particles. How KPOS works? Powder is tried to grow or shrink due to the "reverse piezoelectric effect", the external environments is in a fixed state to make powder hard to move. As it interfere with the elongation and shrink, stress is generated between Powder surface and abutting the polymer surfactant. How KPOS works? When stress is applied to the piezoelectric material due to the "piezoelectric effect", electrical energy is generated by induced charge is proportional to the external force. Such a phenomenon is + ions and by the acting forces - arising from the above relative change of ions and therefore the direction of the electric field at 60Hz AC as the environment changed correspondingly electricity is generated due to the changes and the piezoelectric effect.
