Filters are a powerful tool that allows us to narrow down our search results and find the specific information we need. We will go over on how to create custom filters. By the end of this slide, we will be able to easily filter our data in Odoo 17.

3. Enterprise In the Search view, we have Filters option to refine and organize records based on the model's fields. Clicking on these options shows predefined filters. However, consistently adding custom filters or groups can be a bit tricky, requiring extra effort. By clicking on the dropdown menu as shown in the image, we can navigate to the filters by sections.

5. Enterprise Here, we created a filter to show all the draft stage and confirmed stage records. If the 'name' is required, we can use any name. It's important to set a rule (domain) for the filter, which, in this case, makes it display records where the 'status' field is equal to 'draft' and 'status' field is equal to 'confirmed'. Also only the stored field can be used in creating filters.

6. Enterprise Then restart the server and upgrade the module. We can see the filters that we defined in the search bar.
