Step 1 - Open Your Document Open Microsoft Word Place your cursor where you want to insert the hyperlink .
Step 2 - Select the Text or Object Highlight the text/image you want to link
Step 3 - Insert Hyperlink Press Ctrl + K OR Go to Insert Tab → Links Group → Hyperlink .
Step 4 - Enter the Link In the Insert Hyperlink window: - For a Website: Enter the URL (e.g., www.example.com) in the "Address" box . For Another File: Click "Existing File or Web Page" and select the file . For an Email: Click "E-mail Address" and enter the email .
Step 5 - Confirm and Apply Click OK to apply the hyperlink . The text/image turns blue and underlined (default hyperlink style) .
Editing or Removing Hyperlinks To Edit: Right-click the hyperlink → Choose Edit Hyperlink . To Remove: Right-click the hyperlink → Choose Remove Hyperlink .
