How to use quality module in odoo 17 Enterprise

Introduction Enterpr ise To improve the quality of our business we have to supervise all the operations and tasks. We can do different quality checks before the product is put to the market. We can do all these activities in a single module that is the Quality module in Odoo 17. This slide will show how to use the quality module in odoo 17.

Enterprise Install Quality Module First Install the Quality module of odoo from the apps.

Enterprise When clicking the Quality menu will get this homeview

Enterprise Quality Teams Quality teams will do the maintenance. And we can create different quality teams to do different maintenance tasks. From the overview we can see all created quality teams in a kanban. We can access the quality alerts by clicking the Quality Alerts button on the kanban. We will get the configuration option by clicking the three dot symbol on the kanban.

Enterprise From the configuration we can also create new quality teams.

Enterprise When creating a new quality team we can give team name, name of the email alias, company and also Accept Emails From option means we can accept emails from the list of peoples.

Enterprise Quality Alert Stages There are different stages in quality alert. We can create quality alert stages from Configuration -> Quality Alert Stages. If enabled the boolean field Folded then the stage will be folded on the kanban view. Alert Processed boolean will also be marked on the view. We can specify the teams for each stage. Click on the New button to create a new stage.

Enterprise Quality Tags Tags will help to search for the possibilities. The Quality module also provides quality tags that help for the quality. We can create new quality tags from Configuration -> Quality Tags .

Enterprise Quality Control Points For checking an item we need to achieve the stages, so Quality control points will help for this. We can easily find the methods for evaluating the quality of the product. For that goto the menu Quality Control -> Control Points

Enterprise For creating quality control points enter the name. Select the product that can be applied to the quality control point. We can also mention the product category that applies to certain products. We can give the operation, company and responsible person. We can mention the quality check is based on the product, operation or quantity. Three types of frequency are there all, randomly and periodically.

Enterprise Quality check is categorized as Pass-Fail, Worksheet, Take a Picture, Measure, and Instructions. We can choose appropriate quality checks. Select the quality team to assess the quality control point. We can give more instructions under the tab Instructions . In the Message If Failure tab, we can mention failure messages for the product. We can add further information under the tab Notes .

Enterprise Quality Checks Quality checks will automatically be created from the manufacturing orders. We will get all the quality checks from the menu Quality Control -> Quality Checks . We can also create new quality checks from there.

Enterprise For quality checks we can select the product, picking, control point and same fields mentioned inside the control points. We can click the button Pass or Fail whether the product passed or failed the quality check.

Enterprise Quality Alerts We can issue quality alerts instead of placing production orders. If we enable a quality alert for a product then it is easy to remind the accountable party to verify the product quality. For creating quality alerts, goto Quality Control -> Quality Alerts

Enterprise When creating quality alerts we have to specify the following details on the form. Title : Name of the quality alert. Product: Product for the quality alert. Product Variant: If there are different variants for the product then specify the correct variant. Lot: Mention the product’s lot. Picking: Specify the picking id of the product. Team: Quality team. Responsible: User who verifies the quality check.

Enterprise Tags: Add the quality tags. Root Cause: Reason for the quality alert. Priority: Gives priority for the alert. Description: In this tab we can point the problem. Corrective Actions: From this tab we can specify the outline or steps to correct the problems. Preventive Actions: We can give measures to prevent these problems on this tab. Miscellaneous: we can give miscellaneous information like vendor, company, email address and date assigned.

Enterprise Reporting We can analyze the quality checks and quality alerts from the reporting. There are two menus under reporting - Quality Checks and Quality Alerts. In case of quality checks we can measure this based on count, quantity tested or measures. In case of quality alerts measuring is based on count of alerts. We can choose different graphs and also can change to different views such as pivot, kanban, list and calendar.
